I'm not Scottish so possibly I shouldn't stick my oar in but she always struck me as one of "the grown-ups in the room" and she seemed steady at the wheel during Covid.
Understand that Scottish independence is bound to be a divisive issue.
I don't think that she is crooked herself but has been dragged into guilt by association with the husband who, notably, she has now divorced.
I'd come down on the side of the OP.

I can’t wait to see the back of the woman, who by the way is still under investigation by police. She’s presided over rising drug deaths, the worst in Europe, failed to close the attainment gap in education and overseen Scottish education tumble down the PISA ratings when once upon a time education was a shining beacon to the rest of the UK. Her daily Covid broadcasts failed to produce any significant difference from the rest of the UK and she devastated children’s education by her insistence on keeping schools and nurseries closed. As for the ridiculous gender ID issue, I’m just glad the scales are now falling from people’s eyes as they realise they’ve been duped.

Completely agree with all of this. Sturgeon has single handedly done more damage and harm to the rights of women of Scotland than anyone else has ever done. Good riddance to her.

I thought she sounded convincing during Covid, but her attitude to women, displayed in her stance on self ID etc, her actions re Alec Salmond and the strange matter about her husband are what I remember her for.

Yes, should have been concluded ages ago. Perhaps the point was to keep her in political limbo, as it has done.

I think Sturgeon demonstrated an understanding of leadership which Johnson lacked, since his political education seems to have been drawn from studying Roman history!

I think it would be quite boring to step down from being leader of the SNP to being an MSP, if no charges are to be brought then the investigation should be concluded so she can use her gifts in a different role.

Nicola Sturgeon is like marmite you either love her or hate her. I’m most definitely not a fan. Her actions regarding self identification has caused too much controversy and concerns for women

Operation Branchform is taking years to investigate what? A complex conspiracy, multiple murders, Russian interference, state sanctioned genocide? No, it's supposed to be investigating fraud. Fraud, worth millions? Not even one. And it is taking year upon year. And that investigation needed the dramatic widely publicised, as if the media knew in advance, blue murder forensics tent? Someone is at it. Not convinced it was Nicola Sturgeon.

And she walks away without contrition, in the hope of a lucrative, influential post.

Totally agree Sue Donim and grannysyb. What annoys me most is the fact although she is not stepping down until next year she is still meant to be representing her constituents but is too busy book writing, appearing on various TV programmes and other lucrative "projects". I have only seen her in the Scottish Parliament once since the New Year (or maybe longer)

She is divisive Grandmabatty, I've alsays admired her, DH really dislikes her.

Education,worse Scottish health service worse, ferries, the gender nonsense, all under the SNP.
