The silent chip on shoulder " they come here and take our jobs" mentality. They are and always will be a group of people devoted to racism, nothing more and nothing less.
Good Morning Wednesday 6th May 2026
"Jack Aaron, whose past comments on controversial leaders led to widespread criticism, is now overseeing candidate selection"
"A Reform UK general election candidate who said Hitler was “brilliant” at inspiring people and described Bashar al-Assad as “gentle by nature” is now in charge of the party’s vetting process.
Jack Aaron’s comments about the Nazi leader and Syrian dictator came to light last year when he stood for Reform in the Welwyn Hatfield constituency. He also claimed Vladimir Putin’s use of force in Ukraine was “legitimate”.
Aaron made the comments as part of a pseudoscientific theory of personality types. He is the president of the self-styled World Socionics Society – a group promoting the idea that there are 16 personality types.
However, while he was one of many Reform candidates whose comments caused controversy and led to many being sacked, he is now head of vetting at Reform UK"

The silent chip on shoulder " they come here and take our jobs" mentality. They are and always will be a group of people devoted to racism, nothing more and nothing less.
They've never been, or even aspired to be a "middle of the road" party.
They did keep claiming they spoke for the silent majority but isn't this just a classic example of Trump-speak?
Well, as anything resembling anywhere near, a middle of the road Political Party.
I should think that him being in charge of vetting, is the beginning of the end of Reform.

I don’t think the salute had anything to do with the sales of Tesla, there were many factors involved.
www.theguardian.com/technology/2025/mar/06/australian-tesla-sales-plummet-elon-musk
Many factors including the nazi salute.
This article picked up the appointment of Aaron and gives some of the same information but has some valuable remarks made about Reform in conjunction with his appointment.
dorseteye.com/man-in-charge-of-reform-party-uk-vetting-considers-hitler-brilliant/
"Despite Reform UK’s insistence that Aaron’s appointment does not reflect the party’s values, his past statements are symptomatic of a wider problem. The party’s failure to distance itself from authoritarian sympathisers, its inflammatory rhetoric, and its historical revisionism suggest that it is treading a dangerous path—one that aligns uncomfortably with the tactics and ideology of past fascist movements.
Labour MP Josh Simons encapsulated the absurdity of the situation when he remarked, “If you can’t vet your vetter, you can’t run the country.” This is more than a party in chaos; it is a party that appears willing to entertain and empower individuals who admire and justify some of the most brutal figures in modern history"

A year ago, at election time, The Telegraph also commented on him
"Reform UK candidate defends Hitler remarks
Jack Aaron made comments about Nazi dictator as he promoted socionics, described by critics as pseudo-scientific theory"
Crikey, I can only think they don't have many candidates. Perhaps they prioritise people who are good in front of a camera and hope no-one probes too deeply.
The sooner we are rid of Farage and his entourage the better
I dont understand why Aaron’s passion for socionics makes him competent to vet people to stand for local councils or Parliament. It’s just an analytical tool to group people according to personality types e.g.:
The Analyst, Logical Intuitive Introvert
The Inventor, Intuitive Logical Extrovert
The Enthusiast, Ethical Sensing Extrovert
The Mediator, Sensing Ethical Introvert
and so on.
The tests that lead to placing people in categories are very easy to rig.
How does that weed out out the closet and not so closet fascists that are drawn to Reform like flies to cack?
There are all kinds of councillors and MPs of different personality types who all go about their work in different ways. Surely the key thing is that they have an interest in their consituency and consituents, want to work to make their lives better and can work collaboratively with others - something that Reform cannot do, even among themselves.
I see that part of his role is to scour prospective candidates’ social media outputs, advising on what should be deleted. That isn’t vetting, it’s cleaning, hiding the truth about candidates and their unpalatable views and pasts - the very thing that caught out so many last year.

I think it’s true to say that Reform voters are more likely to support Hitler than voters for other parties, because Reform embraces further right voters. It certainly isn’t true that all Reform voters support Hitler though.
I agree and think that is a very fair comment
I wouldn't have thought so, but Aarons views are wider than Hitler.
“A Reform UK general election candidate who said Hitler was “brilliant” at inspiring people and described Bashar al-Assad as “gentle by nature” is now in charge of the party’s vetting process.
Jack Aaron’s comments about the Nazi leader and Syrian dictator came to light last year when he stood for Reform in the Welwyn Hatfield constituency.
He also claimed Vladimir Putin’s use of force in Ukraine was “legitimate”.”
I’d be surprised if any Reform voters supported Hitler’s actions. There are always a few crazy people amongst any group of voters, but bar them, no.
I think it’s true to say that Reform voters are more likely to support Hitler than voters for other parties, because Reform embraces further right voters. It certainly isn’t true that all Reform voters support Hitler though.
But I don't know that they do, I don't think reform voters support Hitler.
I can't understand why it was deleted but you can piece the bits together by reading the objections to it.
However, the main point is how on earth can Reform appoint this man not just ideologically but sheer common sense as to their own interests.
However it is very sobering to think people might support this mans views, never mind the deleted post.
It's really hard to follow a thread when there are deletions.

Am not in the least worried thanks, just thought it was amusing my thinking that Assad had been given a job.
Lighten up.
Apologies but I don't see much light. Better get away from this conversation. Have a good day.
Neither do I, and I’m a Jew.
I also don't think it was a nazi salute.
I don’t think the salute had anything to do with the sales of Tesla, there were many factors involved.
I tried to watch Jack Aaron's video but he gave me the creeps.
Let's hope that his praise for Hitler has the same effect on voters as Elon Musk's nazi salute has had on Tesla sales.
Who supports Hitler?
Am not in the least worried thanks, just thought it was amusing my thinking that Assad had been given a job.
Lighten up.
Let's worry about a comma. I think not.
People on here openly supporting Hitler. Great.
Wyllow3 a comma after the word Assad would have made your OP make more sense😁I thought Assad had been assigned a new job.
It’s Reform innit? There are certainly some rum ones.
We don't know yet when the Runcorn by -election is - I hope the voters are made aware of this appointment, also wondering what difference the split in the party will make, as Rupert Lowe was popular and perceived to have been treated badly.
Labour has selected local teacher and councillor Karen Shore, Reform hasn't named a candidate yet but no doubt Aaron will be on the job.
