- without warning, in the middle of the night- in the middle of Ramadan.

NOTHING.

Why not give us your opinion about why he broke the agreement.

Anniebach Thu 27-Mar-25 09:52:55

So Netanyahu will remain PM until he is 95 ?

Why would any politician cause anger in the people who voted for him ? How is that keeping in power ?

silverlining48 Thu 27-Mar-25 09:46:12

Hamas can’t ban the uk from talking to Netanyahu that’s utter nonsense.
Israel should have kept to the agreed ceasefire and hostage swap instead of backing out of it before the second part was due to begin
. Instead Israel began the bombing and killing again ….. but clearly in some people’s eyes that is the fault of Hamas who have stated time and time again they want what was agreed to continue.
My thoughts are Netanyahu doesn’t care much about the Israelis still in captivity, hence the people’s understandable protests, he doesn’t mind how many on both sides die as long as he keeps his power which stops him from standing trial on numerous charges and ultimately prison. Where he really does belong.

Anniebach before the hostage taking in 2013, my little but very inquisitive 2 year old grandson stopped outside the Jewish Orthodox Synagogue and wanted to know why it was being guarded. After a few minutes, a worried guard asked us what were we doing. You can imagine the conversation which followed. I have to say that this country has not protected the Jewish community adequately if 90 year old grannies are put on a rota to stand outside a synagogue on security alert!!

Maureen Lipman spoke of protecting Jewish cemeteries before
2023 , such fear because they are Jews, first time in history Jews
are speaking out.

The PM spoke to Netanyahu on 21st January, communications aren't banned unless there is a new ruling..

Why should we lift sanctions on settling more and more of the West Bank?

ronib, I think the same, as someone said Hamas are certainly winning the propaganda war, , the majority want it all to be true, more chance of ridding the world of Netanyahu than Hamas.
In UK Police have been given new laws for protecting places of worship, antisemitism has risen by 113%

ronib Thu 27-Mar-25 08:16:03

Yes I fear too Anniebach but aren’t we all in danger of this terrorist group if to a different degree of harm? Hamas has effectively banned dialogue between the Uk and Netanyahu. Hamas has been leading this particular terror campaign since it took the hostages and it’s still in charge by refusing to hand over the remaining hostages and corpses. The West needs an urgent rethink? The bottom line should be lifting sanctions on Netanyahu.

Thank you Wyllow I fear for anyone in danger from Hamas

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Mar-25 21:34:58

The BBC link is the same as the Guardian link I gave 2 page ago that I was referring to - there's a video and the sources clearly stated

I'm glad you've seen it and it's in your prayers.

I was interested in the media reports of protests against Hamas and there is quite a bit about it. There was opposition to Hamas long before the war, though much of it remained hidden for fear of reprisals. Hamas are terrorists and wouldn't spare their own people but I am hopeful that the tide is beginning to turn now.

*Parsley” thank you for the link,I pray the tide is beginning to
turn and in my prayers for Gaza and Israel I will add these demonstrators , what bravery

Galaxy Wed 26-Mar-25 19:32:26

So when women are faced by aggressive men they often react in particular ways, I actually saw grimacing and fear on their faces. I wonder how the progressives would react if for example some members of the BNP had kidnapped some women and on their release had made them work through an aggressive crowd if their supporters.

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Mar-25 19:26:32

I certainly believe it's possible Annie, of course

Its just that I thought you'd be glad about anti-Hamas demonstrations.

You could be right of course who knows what they were thinking . I didn’t see it that way, they looked as relaxed as anyone could be given their situation.

Thank you, they said they were so. Fearful, perhaps a lie, perhaps number of dead in Gaza, malnutrition killing babies etc from Hamas perhaps lies

Here we go, what brought about the murder of the 5th Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin?

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Mar-25 18:59:21

Anniebach

“Wyllow* if it is true that all those Palestinians were forced to
mock the Israeli hostages ? I was said on this thread , lies have
long talons do they not ?

And seems Hamas had nothing to do with the horrific attack
October 2023: should I say “the alleged attack “?

Annie, I dont know if some Palestinians were mocking the hostages and if so as you well know most posters on this thread have made it clear we do not condone it in anyway.

And most posters have made it clear over, and over again, that the attack on the 23rd Oct was appalling and inexcusable. Said many times over.

But why deny the demonstrations by Palestinians against Hamas? Isn't that what you would want to see?

You missed the comparison of Hamas with Mandela and the SA freedom fighters

What brought about the murders of the 1972 Israeli Olympic team in the Olympic Village, Munich by Black September Palestinian terrorists ?
