I feel stunned, saddened, and furious for the poor bloody babies and children now seen covered in blood and grime shivering with one limb missing, whilst parents weep with despair, if the parents are still alive that is, has almost become normalised, business as usual in Gaza. Between 400 and 600 killed, is a massacre by any standards and just for an issue with the truce that only needed more dialogue to iron out.
And of course my heart goes out to the families of hostages surely expecting more to be released soon. They will certainly not feel that this action by Netanyahu was necessary and such intense bombing increases the chances of the hostages being hit or buried alive.
I'm also stunned, furious, saddened and sickened by this as well as ashamed of my country for not as far as I'm aware decrying this further act of genocide.

All cowards Smileless. No good men, or women, to stand against this.
These Israeli government has said all along that they want the Palestinians gone from Gaza. I’m not remotely shocked. They won’t stop unless forced.
More than 400 people killed in one day, half of them children, how many tomorrow and the next and the next..
Shame on them.
It's genocide and nobody it seems speaks out against it. Nobody who has any influence that is.
How can they let those people, many children, be killed and maimed without Israel being held to account.
Apparently state of the art fighter planes laden with bombs to cut through concrete/stone were bombing ramshackle tents. People were incinerated.
I simply can’t bear it. How evil must you be to inflict such horror?
Cried buckets tonight watching the images.
Babies for Gods sake….babies.
I personally can’t stand it.

Yes, bombing people in tents, so many children.
Then Netanyahu is on the BBC saying he is just after Hamas.
He lies.
More children killed for what? I'm also sickened by this...how will this get any more hostages out?
I cannot look at Netanyahu or listen to his voice- he is a despot and Trump has achieved nothing...
How can killing babies help anything? It is disgusting, wicked and evil...
It’s just pure evil. All those poor people ghettoised then bombed to oblivion whilst the world looks on. It’s horrifying. Whilst Trump looks on and rubs his hands with glee in cahoots with Netanyahu (and Putin) looking to land grab and make money out of the misery of others.
All those innocent children…. I agree with the comments above
What can excuse the Hamas and other Palestinian groups attack on Israel October 7th 2023 and the treatment of the Israeli Hostages following October 7th 3023 .?
The tiny babies held has hostages and brutally murdered with their mother was excusable ?
The number killed has been given by Hamas
I'm sickened by the news. BBC report
Netanyahu calls strikes on Gaza 'only the beginning' as hundreds reported killed

Anyone else think he's been talking to Trump?
Sickening, nothing makes slaughter like that other than deliberate cruelty.

The slaughter of a mother and her two babies wasn’t deliberate
cruelty?

Hamas are not evil ?
Netanyahu is pure evil. Any excuse to continue the war to save his skin.
Sorry Ann iebach but I cannot agree with you that this is a response to the October atrocity. It feels totally malicious.
When the ceasefire with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border was about to come into force there was a huge amount of rocket fire from both sides, which seemed senseless. The best I can hope for is that this is a similar final flourish, but it is grim, just horribly, deeply and truly grim.
anniebach you have totally lost your sense of perspective, and your posts no longer make any sense.
My understanding is that hostages were still not released by Hamas after nearly two months’ ceasefire. Trump has rearmed Israel. 1900 Hamas prisoners were released by Israel.
So what do we make of this ?
Personally I think there are lots of people on these threads who no longer have any idea what sense is, Annie is not one of them.
lixy I do understand, I truly believe the horrors of the October atrocities were the final acts of hatred of Jews by Muslims, I wish it wasn’t so but antisemitism is and always has been at the root of the persecution of Jews.
A poster has referred to the increase of antisemitism across the world, there has been no attacks caused by the war on Ukraine,
a police officer in England spoken of a Jew as being ‘openly Jewish’ this was last year .
Not just Muslims, many uni students who go round chanting from the river to the sea. Makes me feel physically sick.
The information is from a variety of sources
“The Hostages and Missing Families Forum has accused the government of "a complete deception" by pulling out of a deal "that could have brought everyone home."
While some of the prime minister's most staunch critics suggest that the attacks are an attempt by Netanyahu to distract from damaging legal and political crises he faces closer to home.
Most critically, there is a fundamental dispute between the Israeli and Hamas sides about who is to blame for the failure of recent efforts to progress the ceasefire.
The ceasefire was supposed to continue as long as talks over the second phase went on, according to the agreement reached after more than a year of negotiations mediated by the United States, Egypt and Qatar.
During the first phase, Hamas returned 25 living hostages and the remains of eight others in exchange for the release of nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
Israeli forces also withdrew to buffer zones inside Gaza, and hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians returned to northern Gaza. No further hostage releases were called for under the agreement until the second phase.
Hundreds of aid trucks had been entering daily. But two weeks ago, Israel cut off all food, medicine, fuel, electricity and other supplies to the territory’s around two million people to pressure Hamas to accept a new proposal.
The new plan would require Hamas to release half its remaining hostages — the militant group’s main bargaining chip — in exchange for a ceasefire extension and a promise to negotiate a lasting truce. Israel made no mention of releasing more Palestinian prisoners — a key component of the first phase.
Hamas refused the new proposal, accusing Israel of trying to sabotage the existing agreement.”
It has always been thought that Netanyahu would not honour the second phase and so it has proved.
Trump is supporting the action - each day brings him and his family closer to greater wealth. They will walk on the bones of children.
