This is aquote from the BBC website.

Veteran jockey Frankie Dettori says he feels "embarrassed" after he filed for bankruptcy having been unable to reach agreement with His Majesty's Revenue and Customs over a long-running case of tax avoidance.

I have no sympathy for anyone engaged in tax avoidance.

Ripped off somewhere along the line? It happens to footballers too. They put their trust in professionals assuming they have their best interests at heart. Must be devastating to be told otherwise.

Good lord, that is a lot of money to mismanage!!
I have very little sympathy either Cossy.
Most people are 'just managing' on a fraction of that amount and can't afford to take their eye off the ball, every penny counts.
Am sure some rich horsy types will help him out.

Me neither

Possibly a very poor accountant or not paying the correct taxes for years and years.

Horrible person that I am, I have little sympathy for him!

I’ve just read that this jockey has filed for bankruptcy. He’s earned £152M for Owners (gets a percentage) and personally was valued at £18M. How on Earth does someone overspend to that extent, or do they simply take their eye off the ball and let finances just run riot?
