The pally pally approach didn’t last long did it? Now Trump’s resorted to his usual name calling and threats I imagine it won’t be long before Putin retaliates- the latter is more powerful than the orange one I fear.

According to the poll tracker his popularity is waning quite rapidly, it has moved back into the average approval of below 50% as for previous presidents. I suspect it will continue to fall.

The lack of a clear Democratic opponent at the moment is an issue in his favour, but presumably that’s a temporary issue.

So now we have the 2 year old Trump stamping in the playground because everyone is not doing what he wants , and is planning to take his ball home!! Well now he is going to face the other bully Putin, but dont think Putin will let him get away with his posturing. Americans seem to like slogans so I suggest

I know nothing about Mitch McConnell but what a blessed relief to read his words after weeks of drivel from the inarticulate and infantile Trump.

Trump is still very popular in the USA. More so than the Democrat opposition. Interesting. A very different population.

Trump hasn't under estimated Putin's belligerence. He hasn't even thought about it. Trump sees himself as the great deal maker - and that is far as his thought goes.

Trump has underestimated Putins belligerence, his mistake was to start with the statement the war was lost and removing much of Ukraines arms supply, expecting Putins cooperation, that hasn’t happened.

Now he’s got to play catch up, maybe even resupply Ukraine weapons, more sanctions may not work.

I don't think Trump will be able to "make peace" here tho I might be wrong and goodness knows it's needed. Putin wants Ukraine and doesnt care about Trumps desire for mineral rights! Trump doesnt have the abilities he thinks he has, unless his tariffs really can hit Putin as hard as Trump thinks it will.

I dont know if they can have the effect he thinks they will -dont know enough about it - except to alienate.

I am starting to wonder if he knows any other words. His favorite one right now is tariff.

Well, well, well, this is a change of tune. Trump is not getting his own way with Putin after all. What a farce it all is.

Apparently babbling nonsense is an acceptable form of presidential communication. God help the US and the planet.

To sum up - if something doesn't happen, and it was their fault, but it might not be, then he might do something.

Is he meeting trouble half way?
Is he talking nonsense?
Or saying absolutely nothing?
If asked, will he deny ever saying any of it?

He's threatening he'll put tariffs on Russia

Well that friendship didn't last long did it? There's rarely room in the playground for two bullies. Putin has had much more experience and has lots more henchmen to do his every bidding...

As I have said before Trump has been assessed as having he vocabulary and reading ability of an 8 year old, by more than one knowledgeable source. This must be a guide to his intellectual age as well.

However, anyone who has ever had to deal with a rambling drunk, knows that their thought processes are entirely irrational, as are their actions and that is Trumps biggest weakness - and his greatest strength.

Was more expected of President P*ssy Grabber?

A man who uses the above phrase can hardly be expected speak like an adult. The office of the Presidency instantly lost prestige and dignity the moment the multi-bankrupt reality show star was sworn in the first time. His cabinet is filled with drunks, women beaters, and creepy conspiracy theorists. War plans are shared via social media by his bumbling defence team. Him verbalizing being “pissed off” at Putin is hardly scratching the surface of low-level, trashy communication characterizing this regime.

In a lighter note, I love watching clips of the eloquent Barak Obama’s press conferences Vs Trumps. Trump is hilariously inarticulate. I love that his worst nightmare is the exact opposite.
