What scares me is the fact that he must still have a great deal of support to be able to keep doing all the bonkers things he does despite the fact that he is alienating the USA from the rest of the world and his actions have triggered a recession.

Supporters of Reform should think very carefully before voting for a similar scenario in the UK.

I admit Labour is making a pigs' breakfast of governing so far but at least they work within legal and constitutional restraints.

I don't think they making "a pigs' breakfast of governing" but their communication is dreadful. However, when you see some of the reaction to informative posts on GN and other social media platforms perhaps they believe it is better to wait until people start to experience the changes.

Recently someone posted on here that Trump is a reality TV personality and will do anything to get attention and leave us on a cliffhanger at the weekend.

The dreadful pope AI image is just that.

He will do or say absolutely anything (however controversial, offensive or nonsensical) in order to keep in the public eye.

I would suggest that those who don't want Reform in do the exact opposite if those who oppose Trump. Its a blueprint of what not to do.

Mr Trump has said that he's looking to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, so perhaps his elevation to sainthood is in the planning, starting with " popedom".

U.S. District Judge Richard Leon ruled Thursday that plaintiffs who sued to preserve the Institute of Museum and Library Services are likely to show that the Republican administration doesn’t have the legal authority to unilaterally shutter the agency, which Congress created.

The American Library Association and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees filed a lawsuit last month to stop the administration from gutting the institute after President Donald Trump signed a March 14 executive order that refers to it and several other federal agencies as “unnecessary.”

Keith Sonderling, the agency’s newly appointed acting director, subsequently placed many agency staff members on administrative leave, sent termination notices to most of them, began canceling grants and contracts and fired all members of the National Museum and Library Services Board.

A lot of damage has been done already.

This shutting down of libraries seems unimaginable in the UK! I presume State or even town funds can keep some libraries open.

It has to matter most in areas where libraries with of course computers is a haven for those wishing to study/homework/further their education as well as free access to histories and ideas.

Veterans are not happy with him right now. He is taking away the day dedicated to honoring them at the same time he has cancelled the program that helps veterans with mortgage modifications so they don't go into foreclosure.

I can barely begin to imagine the arrogance a person would have to have to order a military parade for oneself after being a draft doger , repeatedly insulting war heros, anf standing on the grave of a fallen soldier giving a thimbs up in this countries most hallowed ground. Then to take away any services they were promised for putting their lives on the line is unforgivable.

I think the Army might not be pleased to be told the festival they are planning for their anniversary is being taken over by Trump for his birthday celebrations.

It's just a coincidence it's on his birthday.
