These ladies were simply passengers on the flight. Just as many of us will have been passengers on aircraft.
No-one expects an airline passenger to be capable of flying the 'plane, or even understanding how aero dynamics work. So why all the negative remarks about a group of people and one woman in particular, who could afford to pay for such an amazing experience?

What a derogatory summary of a woman who is a best selling pop artist. Entertainment is so important, and she is hugely successful in her career - and she definitely can sing! I always think when people make comments like this, tell us all what amazing achievements you have had in your life that surpass hers then? It’s just sour grapes.

What are you implying mael3? Katy Perry was not from a rich family, her parents were pastors. The money she has is what she has made in her career.

Nothing wrong with being wealthy. But when so many people are struggling ( even more so since Trump was elected) flaunting it isn’t a good look. And when climate change is affecting the planet doing an unnecessary trip into space isn’t a very good look, either.

Anniebach I have been shocked as well. It's good to see our younger generation of women using the freedom they now have. We shouldn't mock them. As far as I can see Katie Perry is a very successful singer, a feisty young woman who knows her own mind not some airhead that some on here want to believe. It took a lot of guts to go up into space, I don't think I could have done that even when I was her age.

This event was organised by one of the richest men in the world as the hen party for his fiancee. A more egregious case of willy waving, I have yet to come across.

All those attending were tall slim and attractive. Nobody was plump, short in the leg etc and their overalls were designed to enhance their good looks.

I neither know not care who was on board. A man gathering together a group of attractive women, to be sent into space on a rocket with his name mentioned all the time can well be described as harem.
