When she returned to earth all she was talking about was love; I mean what was that about? Oh dear were none of you young once? I love young women's long hair these days, I had to fight my Mum all the way when she wanted me to have a perm like her! I love the dress and boots look as well. I wouldn't want to go back, I believe that we all belong in the age we were born in but it doesn't stop me envying them their freedom.

A shame so much was focussed on Katy Perry. I’m sure Lauren Sanchez wouldn’t have liked that. However, despite all this if it shows young girls that they too could do something similar, one day, then all power to them.

Before yesterday 105 women had been to space. Not a huge number compared to male astronauts (12% of astronauts apparently). All with a job to do.

I don’t understand why yesterday’s space tourists are being talked about as though they are trail blazers.
