R.I.P. Virginia..this is a tragedy for her family and friends and people she has supported over the years who never received justice over assault claims…
Hand your head in shame ANDREW

So sad... anyone who had been sexually abused would relate to her.... I am still coping day by day... sometimes good, sometimes bad. Mine was a relative over 60 years ago.... but is still here with me.... do not judge until you have been there. The perpetrator has such legal power behind him.... oh and a night out at a Pizza place! Really? My abuser died when I was 11 thank heavens but I have lived with this since. I never told anyone til about 4 years ago!

Again, that's how grooming works...

Anniebach Sat 26-Apr-25 17:33:07

Doubts about her saying how distressing it was with him ,

ViceVersa Sat 26-Apr-25 17:22:13

Doubts about what? That she was the victim in all of this? She was groomed and exploited - that's exactly how grooming works.

Anniebach Sat 26-Apr-25 17:03:46

I have doubts again, why keep the photograph at 17 ? she thought him a famous celebrity?

I cannot change my thoughts on her father, he took her to the hotel where he worked and she sat reading about massaging,
coincidence? I have doubts

Ignorance of the law is not a defence, no matter which country you are visiting.

Iam64 Sat 26-Apr-25 16:55:58

MOnica, I expect yes, it’s reasonable to expect people to check the law in countries they visit . Especially on laws abiut alcohol, drugs and sexual behaviour

VG was 7 when first sexually abused within her family. She lived in foster care but ran away at 14, spending time on the streets. It seems She was involved in sex work by an older man who exploited vulnerable girls. She was reunited with her dad and lived with him, he worked at Epstein’s hotel as a maintenance worker. When VG was 17, Maxwell saw her at the hotel, reading a book on massage. Maxwell offered her work and training, took her to meet Epstein. He was naked. Maxwell showed VG how to massage him. VG later said they seemed nice so she trusted them.

She’s had a really tough time, one of too many children who carry their abuse into adult life and all to often, never fully recover

There has to be proof , there was the photograph and witnesses
at a nightclub with Andrew

All the photographs prove is that Prince Andrew met her and socalised with her.

I am no defender of Prince Andrew, but the main thing he is guilty of is stupidity. Whatever happened between them this lady was of age by British law at the time. Are we all expected to keep checking the law in every country we visit in case we accidentally break a law, by drinking out of hours or offering a 20 year old a drink where the country forbids buying alcohol for anyone under 21, for example.

Prince Andrew is stupid and arrogant, I doubt he even knew how old this woman was at the time. There acquaintance seems to have been brief. The people who brought her to such a sorry end are her parents, those who deliberately exploited her sexuallywhile she was under age and those who procured her. Epstein, Maxwell and all the grubby little pimps who gawned on them.

Anniebach Sat 26-Apr-25 16:29:19

Were not the alleged abusers American ? did she accuse an American with date and place ?

Of course there has to be proof, but there are thousands of documents and files relating to the Epstein case which have not yet been released, so who knows what might happen? In any case, poor Virginia will never see full justice done.

Epstein took the coward's way out instead of facing up to a lengthy jail sentence (and before anyone starts, I am most certainly not accusing everyone who dies by suicide of being a coward - far from it, I am only talking about him here). Prince Andrew, well, we all know he's highly unlikely to face charges as a result of this, so I wouldn't call that justice. Maxwell is really the only one who's been brought to justice - what about everyone else who was involved in this? They are only three of those who were involved - every single person who was complicit in this should be brought to book for their part.

None of those who trafficked and abused those girls have really paid the price for their actions. As usual, the rich and powerful get away with it, and the grooming and abuse continues...
Being rich and powerful didn't stop Epstein being imprisoned and committing suicide because he knew his chances of conviction and getting a long prison sentence were very high and it didn't do Ghislaine Maxwell or Prince Andrew much good either.

I would say in this case that the rich and powerful did not get away with it and the damaging less significant people in this woman's life did.

Agree *MOnica,

Oh, they have, M0nica
Epstein, Maxwell, Andrew were only the tip of the iceberg.

Has anybody read the hateful comments today from the so called Lady Victoria Harvey, a friend of Andrew’s? One wonders how she earned her living spending so many years in America. Her brother squandered the family fortune and left them impoverished but she doesn’t appear to have a job of any kind. Still, she’s gloating over Virginias death. Hateful woman.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 26-Apr-25 15:12:09

Every single person who used this girl is complicit in her death.

Anniebach Sat 26-Apr-25 15:07:07

What of the family member who sexually abused her before she left her home and lived on the streets age 14. Her father who drove her to meet Epstein

Syracute Sat 26-Apr-25 14:58:55

Sarnia

Poor lady. One of many impressionable and vulnerable young girls used and abused by rich, entitled older men and sucked into their seedy underworld. May she rest in the peace she wasn't afforded in life. flowers

Exactly this ! The men, for the most part, get away with this and the youth they rob is gone forever with the end consequence being this tragic end .

I don't think she ever got the 'closure' that she perhaps wanted. I felt sad to hear about her death. Her whole life seems to have been ruined by Epstein and his circle. I feel for her children and family. It's easy to say 'where were the parents', but teenagers who go off the rails are difficult to control!

She didn't go off the rails
Her father, the man supposed to protect her, exploited her.

Fathers whether rich or poor don’t always protect, sometimes they exploit.

Indeed they do. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a father who will protect them. Sometimes they are the ones perpetrating the abuse or exploitation.

Was her father rich and powerful?
What does that have to do with anything? I was talking in particular about those who attended Epstein's 'parties' (for want of a better word). Money talks - and buy

Fathers protect,
