Life as a minister is pretty all consuming, if she fails to register that she's received theatre tickets in a timely fashion I'm honestly not bothered. It's a fuss about nothing!

Oh for goodness sake- so what!

an error - late declaration on MP's register although she did declare it on the Ministers register

On 27 December 2024 she received four tickets to the National Theatre with an estimated value of £276. She registered the donation on 27 March 2025.

The BBC has been told Reeves did declare the trip on her ministerial register, which is separate from the MPs' register

The parliamentary code of conduct states that MPs must register their financial interests and update any changes within 28 days."

How petty can we get on an oversight of £276? Clearly she was not trying to evade or hide it as it was on the Ministers declaration list

I recommend a sense of perspective.

(Now if someone as a "persistent offender" as different matter.)

They're no different to the Tories. Just as greedy, just as grasping, just as sickening.

She should have declared within a month (28 days in fact) rather than by the end of the financial year.

NotSpaghetti Wed 30-Apr-25 20:55:51

No. I don't think so -
Surely she's being investigated for declaring them late?

Ilovecheese Wed 30-Apr-25 20:52:58

Don't they all get free tickets to stuff? Why is she being investigated? What for?

mae13 Wed 30-Apr-25 20:48:43

She is due to be investigated for accepting free theatre tickets at Christmas.

Politicians don't seem to learn. A bribe is a bribe is a bribe.

The 'freebie' culture is thriving.
