It’s not what the majority of Israelis want, they have been protesting in great numbers , it’s what Netanyahu and his cronies want.

The Gazans are turning against Hamas. Their lives have been very hard and I'm sure most ordinary people want to live in peace.

I think there are probably those who are turning against Hamas and those who see no alternative and support them.

But those opposing Hamas don't have the ability to rise up against them.

Moved around constantly and worrying about enough food and now the prospect of a southern ghetto, saying "it's up to them" is less possible than before.

The majority of Israelis are in favour of stopping the war, rescuing the hostages and withdrawing from Gaza.

Netanyahu and the far right are in direct opposition to the majority of Israelis.

Ben-Gvir one of Netanyahu’s supporters and politicians was asked whether he agreed that food, water and aid be stopped for ever replied. ………. He did not disagree in principle, but rather thought that the world would not tolerate Israel starving the Palestinians to death. Quite frankly I am not convinced judging the way so little is being done by the rest of the world.

There is no question in my mind that the Netanyahu, the far right and settler movement will not stop until that have annexed the whole of Palestine, which then begs the question of where do the Palestinians go?

TBH I don't think the two statements are conflicting, I think Gazans want peace but ATM they are not in a position to bargain for that. They also need food to stay alive so if it's a question of starve and die or accept food from Hamas, I doubt they have any other choice, do you?

It's a simple question. Not difficult to answer.

Please supply some evidence of this, otherwise it is just your opinion.
In 2006 44.45% voted for Hamas, even then it was not a majority. What that percentage would be now is completely unknown. I think it is highly likely that the majority of Gazans would vote for peace if they had the chance, as Hamas seem unlikely to be able to offer them that, it is, therefore, highly likely that Hamas would not be well supported. However, I am speculating, just like you are and to continue the mass killing of civilians on the basis that you think they might be terrorists is IMO completely unacceptable.

You can feel sorry for Gazans who don’t support hamas but you know, most of them did and many still do.
Women and children always suffer the most in any conflict it’s very sad.
Gazans don’t have to physically fight hamas, they just have to let them know they have lost support.
Turning against hamas wherever they can is the surest way to not recruit new hamas members in the future.

Hamas are Palestinians. They are a brutal group no doubt but are still part of that country.
The IDF are not innocent either. They are following orders, I know, so foot soldiers can't be blamed for some of the atrocities.

Of course Hamas is still active, no one suggests they weren't. Many of us keep saying that you can't wipe out terrorism with guns and bombs. Think about it! If you starve a population, people will go to where they will find food and it will drive men straight into the arms of the terrorists. Try putting on the shoes of a Gazan, Annie just try to imagine what their lives have been like, imagine seeing your home crumble around you, think about digging the bodies of your loved ones from the rubble with your bare hands. Imagine having no food, what water you have is dirty, you've been moved almost constantly, you're living in a makeshift tent, you've got injured but there's no hospital to go to. A very high percentage of the population weren't even born in 2006 when Gaza, by a tiny majority, voted for Hamas, yet they suffer just the same. Just try to imagine living like a Gazan for one day .

By Palestinians do you mean hamas? They are the only ones fighting against the IDF.
Illegal settlers are in the West Bank, not Gaza.
They don’t represent most Israelis btw.
Yes, I think Israel do have to take over Gaza, whether that will be permanent or not remains to be seen.

Oh gosh Whitewavemark2 😲 you’re happy to tell others they’re biased but can’t see that you are in your views.
FYI the BBC have had to pull propaganda film set in Gaza and which was one sided and featured hamas relatives, have had to also look into BBC features on Al Jazeera for the same reasons and still refuse to call hamas a terrorist organisation.You can google all those things btw.
