Yes Iam64 antisemitism is an age old prejudice. I've never really understood it and still don't.
Anti semitics are always around but show their true colours in situations like this.
I am truly sorry that Netanyahu's actions have brought out this nasty side of some people and caused suffering to innocents.

I can’t imagine any Jewish people believing they’re immune from criticism, silver lining. Jewish people have been subjected to anti semitism throughout history.

The continued bombing by the current Israeli government is, and increase in illegal settlements is, imo, wrong and indefensible.

None of that justifies anti semitism. As others have said, it’s increased since October 7 but it’s always been with us. The Jewish schools and cemetery in north Manchester had guards long before this latest war

Yes, so many Jews are blaming Netanyahu for this. For the genocide he has perpetrated, which goes totally against the Torah and Judaism, and not Palestinians.

Netanyahu may be at the end of his career soon, as Orthodox Jews will probably vote against him and force an election. He is currently insisting all Orthodox Jews have to accept to be conscripted into the IDF, and they say their Faith will not allow them to do this.

I don’t think the current Israeli government actually care what anyone thinks. Netanyahu aim is to stay out of jail so brought in extremists and their goal is to get rid of the palistinians by killing or driving them off their lands, and out of the country, so they can take the whole land for their own. That’s genocide.

Personally I think most normal people wherever they are just want to live in peace. It’s the politicians who decide and the ordinary citizens who pay the cost with shattered lives.

Many who are totally opposed to Netanyahu and this genocide, are orthodox Jews, who clearly say that what he is doing goes totally against the jewish religion and the Torah.

I don't anyone who is antisemite- despite being totally against this genocide.

People swear blind that they are not anti semitic, but quite honestly, those same people give a very good imitation of anti semitism to the point that Jews need to take extra care in their daily lives. Keeping a low profile is advised. I was born in 1943, the height of the holocaust. I never, ever expected to see again such hatred for the Jewish people, as witnessed today, during my lifetime.

One simple way to counteract any/all Hamas propaganda would be for Israel to allow independent observers into the region. Not just the BBC, but that would do it for me.
The IDF would then have to promise not to shoot them.

I don’t think the hostages have been forgotten. I heard about 25 are still alive. Given that Gaza is almost destroyed I hope they are still alive, but it would be a miracle.
Shamefully they don’t seem to be uppermost in Israel’s eyes despite their families who have fought so hard.
They were innocent victims, as were the 60,000 palistinians most of them women and children, who have been killed since and are still being killed daily by the bombs coming over one way from Israel to Gaza. Were Israel being bombed daily by Gaza we would know about it. But it’s not mentioned.

There was an agreement which Israel signed up to for hostages to be returned at the start of March. The hostages would have been freed months ago had Israel not broken the agreement by demanding to be able to continue bombing Gaza after the hostages were released. Obviously no one could accept that.

I believe the plan from the start has always been to drive out the palistinians by any way they can so they can take Gaza, West Bank and the areas remaining for Israel.

There remains questions to be answered about how this all started and why it took so long for the Israeli army/ police to arrive on scene. Gaza is about 25 mile long by 5 miles, surrounded by Israel and the sea. It didn’t need from the dawn attack to midday to get there. A long cruel wait for those who were presumably phoning fir help after being attacked, so cruelly that morning. Everyone has suffered and some still are suffering and will suffer for years to come.
