More and more Jews are condamning what is going on too. And have come to realise Netanyahu does not care one hoot about the hostages, not a single one.
Bereavement wipes out everything
this continues an ongoing thread on Gaza

The O/P read (in part)
"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the population of Gaza will be displaced to the south after his security cabinet approved an expanded military operation in the enclave that a minister described as a plan to “conquer” the territory.
The vote on Sunday came hours after the military said it would mobilize tens of thousands of reservists, strengthening its capacity to operate in the besieged Palestinian territory.
“One thing will be clear: there will be no in-and-out,” Netanyahu said in a Monday video message posted on X. “We’ll call up reserves to come, hold territory — we’re not going to enter and then exit the area, only to carry out raids afterward. That’s not the plan. The intention is the opposite.”
We now have the aid crisis at the focus of world wide attention.
More and more Jews are condamning what is going on too. And have come to realise Netanyahu does not care one hoot about the hostages, not a single one.
No one's forgotten what took place on that terrible day Jaberwork but it's no justification for what's continuing to take place in Gaza.
Netanyahu, his Governement and supporters will have to answer for what they have done- sooner rather than later.

Hamas gets more powerful each day
I don't think so. What is happening is that most of the world is turning away from Netanyahu, his Government and supporters- and finally calling this what it is 'a genocide'- with no solution at the end of it.
Isn't it strange that in most comments, articles, protests, ministerial pronouncements, everything in fact, no one now mentions the hostages. I guess most, if not all are dead, and therefore not of much importance any more but even so, to be forgotten, tossed aside like an inconvenience is sad to say the least. There are two sides to this conflict, but only one side now seems relevant. What actually started it is now conveniently pushed aside or appears to be completely forgotten. This for me is shameful particularly coming out of the mouths of ridiculous bigoted celebrities.
It’s complete denial or plain ignorance of the history and the facts. There are some so blind who do not, and never will, wish to see.
Thank goodness for tennis! 🎾
Still denial yes Annie, denial of what's happening in Gaza.
I have just sent a( nother) email to my MP Wyllow and wish I had seen your well written template beforehand but he got my ‘straight from the heart’ mail. Not as sophisticated but saying much the same.
So ‘not in my name but ok still being supplied’
Thankfully much tennis on tv for me
I think the USA will replace any arms cuts. But its a "not in our name" message from the UK.
Withdrawal of arms sales will definitely strengthen Hamas,
Allow journalists in Gaza , welcome Jeremy Bowen BBC

Hamas gets more powerful each day
I'm not sure if this is true or not Annie.
It's a situation that does and can drive some people into the arms of Hamas, but it also has the opposite effect of making them hostile to Hamas.
I do wish journalists were allowed in as I feel sure it will give more courage and opportunity for those against Hamas to become stronger.
What I wrote in case people might like to use it or bits of it for their own MP
"Dear X
I have discussed this so long and hard with others on the pros and cons of making Palestine a state.
Following on from there I've come down on the side of "yes, its a wonderful and maybe idealistic idea, but worth doing"
Making it a State will have turbulent consequences but the UK government can try and influence those consequences by following as peaceful a path as possible.
With the rise of anti-semitism in the UK, and more courageous Jewish people speaking up against the war and particularly the withholding of aid, and the way that the US/Israeli plan for aid is being administered, I feel there are steps that our government can take
* Joining others in accepting Palestine as a state
* Time to withdraw all arms sales including sales of aircraft whole or parts, and any other appropriate restrictions on business and banks unless this will actively hurt the most vulnerable in Israel and Gaza/West Bank
*support both Jewish and Muslim communities as needful, of course never supporting terrorism -but supporting any means that allow ordinary Palestinians to speak out against terrorists.
This means pressurising the current Israeli regime to allow journalists into Gaza.
Please can you pass this letter on to those most involved in our government.
Yours most sincerely
etc
(I bet I've forgotten something! I)
Hamas gets more powerful each day
I'm going to write to my MP now on this having written that!
It is almost impossible, a dream to have Palestine recognised, but my whole soul says "yes" it is needful although oh so hard to get to.
I think most of us tho I can only speak for myself, care very much indeed, for the conflict has done great damage to both sides and we know anti-semitism has risen in the UK maybe other countries too. To the extent that brave Jewish people are speaking up in terms of "for the good of us all".
Question is, does Netanyahu's regime not realise this or does he regard it as "collateral damage" in order to get to the goal.
And I cant honestly answer "is the goal of control "from the River to the |Sea" that we know some of his cabinet would like , worth it for Israel and the many Jewish communities round the world?
Still denial
Yes it's started again in Gaza.

It talks about recognising Palestine as a state, the testament of descendants of the holocaust very compelling. Just ordinary people, btw.
Talk of the Holocaust has its uses , yet again , some don’t realise/care it has started again
Live debate from parliament today see for yourself on a Palestinian nation 3 hours ago

There is a lack of reporting on demonstrations in the UK - this, last week, when Parliament debated it last week - shows Jewish demonstrators speaking up "we should not do to them what was done to us
strongly recommended, the point of the demo was telling parliament to stop sending arms to Israel - apparently Mp's joined

That would be amazing, the biggest step. Just 70 years too late.
Ah well, stay with the "now".
It might be that at last, we are taking steps to recognise Palistine. I hope so.
