Using starvation as a weapon of war is a war crime.
I trust that when this is all over Netanyahu will be answerable to this.

The O/P read (in part)
"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the population of Gaza will be displaced to the south after his security cabinet approved an expanded military operation in the enclave that a minister described as a plan to “conquer” the territory.
The vote on Sunday came hours after the military said it would mobilize tens of thousands of reservists, strengthening its capacity to operate in the besieged Palestinian territory.
“One thing will be clear: there will be no in-and-out,” Netanyahu said in a Monday video message posted on X. “We’ll call up reserves to come, hold territory — we’re not going to enter and then exit the area, only to carry out raids afterward. That’s not the plan. The intention is the opposite.”
We now have the aid crisis at the focus of world wide attention.

Hamas release the hostages, this is what Israel wants, so release them .
Israel wants to eradicate the Palestinians from Gaza and the whole of Israel.
I don't think releasing the hostages now will stop the war.
Understandably governments are responding to the emotive media reporting, not wanting to be criticized by their voters for being heartless.
Including the UK, and those that have appalling human rights records themselves, Hamas are winning the propaganda war.
How do we know if info from UN is from Hamas bad eggs ?
But you see it isn’t true. Propaganda put out by Israel I am afraid.
Every country in the world is satisfied that UNWRA should continue to be funded.
Having accepted this, there is currently only the current organisations able to get aid in and we have to go with that until there are alternatives.
There are actually a number of organisations waiting to get aid in not just UNRWA, and you are assuming "all" UNRWA" are as those you've criticised, you have no proof of this. Yes bad eggs but they dont make up al the organisation.
UNWRA Is respected for its knowledge snd success by almost every country in the world, and receives funding from all of them, except the USA - who of course through the auspices of DOGE has stopped funding full stop.
There was a pause of funding when it was thought that it was being controlled by Hamas - however, every single government continued funding after it was clear that this was not the case, and that it’s valuable work must be supported. Which it is
The volley of concern from various governments is mainly about aid getting in and the lack of it.Which I agree with btw.
It was a failed experiment or shall we say a partially failed experiment to get the hostages released and set the populace against hamas.

The organisations with the most experience and success at delivering aid to Gaza are UNRWA and UNICEF.
They have a fully functioning supply chain, and provide aid according to the humanitarian principles accepted by everyone .
Why not carry on with this tried and tested set up?
UNRWA are full of hamas supporters with some of them even taking part in the October massacre in Israel.
The volley of concern from leaders around he world are not people who support terrorism nor Hamas in any way. They are not being "fooled" by Hamas.
The balance of evidence from sources that are regarded by seasoned politicians as reliable is now so great that Netanyahu is facing the consequences. He repeats the horror of Oct 7th - and ignores that which he is causing. At the very least, his refusal to let journalists in speaks volumes.

But Oreo - if aid was not being withheld on such a massive scale the reports would not be desperate.
Netanyahu could repeal the starvation policy and stop the volley of compassion, concern, some of the divisions within the Jewish community and world wide political concerns on humanitarian concerns with one cabinet decision.
It’s not the reports that are desperate it’s hamas! They know they can’t hold out forever so will do and say anything.

I have said, whenever aid is mentioned that the sooner it goes in the better and that the embargo went on too long.
I would like to see not only baby milk and food go in, but all the staples and medicine and water they need.
Hamas release the hostages, this is what Israel wants, so release them .
Oreo - I would like baby milk to get through. I'm a little surprised that anyone's "heart strings" are not "tugged" by photographs of starving infants.

In some of his strongest criticism to date, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says Israel's "excuses and explanations" for blocking aid to Gaza are untenable, and that it is an outrage that a democratic state would withhold aid.
My own position on news from Gaza is to take it with a sack of salt.
Some reports will be true or nearly true and others the work of hamas propaganda. The more desperate they get the more emotional will be the reports to tug at the heart strings of the West.

BBC New this morning, number killed given by medics and officials, not Hamas health leaders.
Yes, it’s the hamas ‘health ministry’ to be clear.
BBC New this morning, number killed given by medics and officials, not Hamas health leaders.
The way the aid is now supposed to be getting through to the hungry and sick is through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, apparently set up be Israel this year, although there are reportedly at least 2 other charities with the same name. However the one being used by the Israelis is registered in Geneva with Jake Wood its CEO.
Unfortunately Wood has resigned almost as soon as he started work, because in his opinion “ Two months ago, I was approached about leading GHF’s efforts because of my experience in humanitarian operations” Wood said in the statement.
“Like many others around the world, I was horrified and heartbroken at the hunger crisis in Gaza and, as a humanitarian leader, I was compelled to do whatever I could to help alleviate the suffering.”
But, he said, it had become “clear that it is not possible to implement this plan while also strictly adhering to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, which I will not abandon.”
Clearly then, the aid that is getting through will not be distributed according to either humanitarian guidelines or impartiality.
I think that disbelief in all reports that come from Gaza makes Israel's actions more tolerable for some people.
"What the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve over" was one of my mum's sayings about people who can't accept what is blatantly clear to others.

I have also asked that question on this thread for those who doubt reports
what sources are you using for your information its a very valid question.
It is a very valid question!
There’s no question though that Hamas don’t care about the people living in Gaza or Israel and judging by his actions Netanyahu feels the same.
There’s no question that many innocents have been murdered on both sides.
There’s no question that nowhere near Aid trucks are getting through.
But all news is not filtered through Hamas. We have a whole string of reports from both respected aid agencies and social media posts that have come out unfiltered by Hamas, and we also have reports from Jewish sources that recognise and condemn the aid situation and ask for cease fire and hostage returns

Again which reports?
I don’t know about anyone else but I read whatever is available both BBC and Sky News, Al Jazeera at times and Israeli newspapers, as much balance as possible, but when all news from Gaza is filtered through hamas it’s a hard job separating fact from fiction.
