Honestly (just watched that video) Pathetic "Don't ever ask me that, its a nasty question".

"Hurty words" eh? The hypocrisy - complaining we in UK are wrong to prosecute on the basis of SM language then complaining about a completely moderate and proper question asked of him.

Also completely thrown, mixing up tax and tariffs.giving the wrong information on tariffs, whining that the EU won't talk to him..... he really really doesn't understand what he is doing.

(Key departments are engaging in internal wars (like Hegseth's Defence dept)

So comments above re Ukraine that he is at a loss with Russia make complete sense. Once he moved past the "trying for financial gain" with Zelenskyy.

Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff was backing Russia in March, whether he'll do a U turn is anyone guess.

I think that Trump is actually pretty weak. He talks “big” but when push comes to shove he backtracks pdq.

Putin knows this and I think that the rest of the world is learning that this is so.

He does seem incredibly weak and confused.

This TACO clip has him upset over an acronym.

Putin knows this and runs rings round him. Donald doesn't realise this.

It's quite terrifying.

I believe ignorance of both complicated conflicts that have raged on an doff for centuries have blighted the US outlook on wars in the middle east and Ukraine.
Trump believes that the solution to everything is just to make money. I do think his final realisation that Putin isn't interested in money has made Trump angry because he cannot control these two factions with a financial deal. I think he is genuine in his desire for peace and he does seem mystified by Putin's attitude, which he thought he understood for years. He was just being played.
When he finally wakes up to Netanyahu will be an even more complex situation. Trump doesn't do complex and isn't capable of it.
It is all very sad not just for Ukraine and Gaza but for the whole world if this shambles is allowed to continue.

Trump has said recently that his doctors have declared him to be very fit physically and mentally. Mmm....

😂😂😂😂 His doctor should be struck off, it’s pretty clear to the rest of us that’s he physically and mentally in “bad shape”

Trump, the man who is boasting of being a genius because, he claims, he scored full marks on the cognitive tests he did. He does not know the difference between a cognitive test and an IQ test.

I have done cognitive tests twice in the last couple of years and scored full marks. All the tests did, was prove, that the erroneously dignosed strokes i had had, had not damaged my brain. That is a pretty low bar for declaring oneself a genius.

Personally I would not believe a word Trump says about his health, physical or mental. He should do what other Presidents have done and publish the results.

I think anyone who has any experience of dementia would also have doubts as to whether he is 'very fit, mentally

Well, that has convinced me wink

Oh dear, worrying is not going to help him. Perhaps some dementia meds might slow it down. He is already showing so many symptoms of that dreadful disease.

M0nica Wed 28-May-25 16:10:57

Well, he would wouldn't he? Now if Putin really wants to annoy Trump he should say he is stupid or that like Biden he is suffering from dementia, (which he probably is)

I read recently that Trump's father suffered from dementia and this is the fear that keeps him awake of nights.

I wonder if the US are making things worse in the Russia/Ukraine conflict and also in Israel and Gaza.
It seems Putin has been more aggressive since speaking to Trump.

It's the way he sort of gets part involved then pulls back when things don't work out quickly?

Deliberate (leave people guessing, things go on behind the scene)

- or just the way he is? I cant forget how he treated Zelenskyy such arrogance.

Very sad situation, with leaders of two powerful nations playing games with each other whilst innocents die!

Just checking in on whats happening as the world's focus moves onto other matters.

"The Kremlin claimed Donald Trump was showing signs of "emotional overload" after he called Vladimir Putin "absolutely crazy" following Moscow's largest aerial assault on Ukraine.

The US president said on Truth Social on Sunday that "something has happened" to Putin, after Russia killed 13 in Ukraine with 367 drones and missiles.

"He has gone absolutely crazy," Trump said. "Needlessly killing a lot of people."

Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesman, said the comments were "connected to an emotional overload of everyone involved".

Germany's chancellor, Friedrich Merz, meanwhile said that Ukraine's allies had removed all range limits on supplied arms, amid reports he would give Kyiv Taurus missiles."

After all the confronting Zelenskyy and minerals deals Russia is bombarding civilian targets (with some attacks back) little has moved on except Europe is now providing more weapons to Ukraine, and the US is threatening sanctions on Russia but not acting on it - Zelenskyy to visit Europe this week.
