Riots are just below the surface in every society at all times, particularly in hot weather. However, there is very little common ground between the cause for the riots in Ireland and LA at the moment.

It’s been pouring with rain on NI.

Not on a precipice but serious action needs to be taken to control migration.

It was sunny in NI yesterday evening, but actually I was referring to the fact that virtually every summer, at least once between May and September, there is at least one riot about something. The last one here in Wales was in May or June 2023 I think, nothing to do with race relations, when police chased youngsters on an electric scooter and they crashed and died.

How does the alleged sexual assault by two Rumanian teenagers (they haven't even been convicted yet) have anything to do with immigration in general?

It just shows that racist yobs will use any excuse - and up damaging their own community.

Filipinos are generally a huge asset to the UK, they are here to work. I really hope they have marked their own doors so they will be left alone.

The Filipino nurses at our local hospital were wonderful.

Only ignorant people could get confused between Filipinos and Romanians.
I hope not all Eastern Europeans will be targeted for the actions of a few.

From what I’ve read Wyllow two 14 year old Romanian boys were in court at the weekend accused of sexual assault on a local girl. There was a peaceful ‘parade’ of support for her, this was hijacked by people with other agendas, some aggrieved at immigrants, some just out for trouble. It’s escalated as other factions have kicked off.

No not at all Unfortunately Ballymena had a high proportion of low IQ idiots living there and also more come in from other towns . It also had a large heroin problem. This issue concerns 3 Roma 14 year olds who raped the girl. The Roma are not honest hardworking people.

I'm sorry but I am entitled to my opinion. I think it's terrifying what I read on the most low key, local fb sites, so God knows what is pumping out on other sites.

What percentage of the population do you reckon have become extremists to cause this amount of damage? My guess it's more than a tiny minority.

Reform needs to distance itself from this kind of racism and destruction - quickly and decisively!

It's just an excuse for a load of racist yobbos to have a punch up. I hope they are caught and sentenced to custodial sentences, just as people were after Southport.

David I have no idea whether the accused are Romanian or Roma. The Roma experience considerable discrimination within Romania itself - they are not the same. Whether or not the accused are Romanian, Roma or from outer space, it doesn't mean that everybody with the same label should be lumped together - that really is racism.

In any case, it appears the yobbos of Ballymena have used this an excuse to go on a racist spree, just as they did in Southport. There is absolutely no justification for that - ever!

The residents of Graz should be grateful that the latest shooter has been proven to be white and Austrian.
