The violence against the police and harassment of innocent people is appalling and now spreading across the region.
I’ve not seen scenes like this for many years.

DUP minister Gordon Lyon’s published on SM that some people were temporarily staying in Larne Leisure Centre. The Centre was attacked by fire bombs and masonry, a brick through the window of a yoga class, you are right growstuff.

Very likely that yobs have piggybacking on the Rumanian dimension to riot. There are some who simply love fomenting public disorder.

Every year when the temp goes up and up, a particular category of male youth breaks out in senseless violence, often for absolutely no reason. And yes, this lot in Ballymena are piggybacking - I bet they don't actually know what originally sparked things off.
And most of them are likely off their heads on weed/spice/ketamine/booze. Take your pick.

And you’d think that people in NI have had enough of violence and public disorder and lawlessness wouldn’t you?

The vast majority have Oreo

Yes, I’m sure, and it must bring back painful memories.

Sarnia

I don't condone violence of any kind.
However, more and more people are totally frustrated with successive Governments being unable to stem the tide of immigrants. All it needs to light the blue touch paper is the suspicion that an immigrant has been linked with an attack on women and children. The red mist descends on those who think with their fists and with social media in the mix it is chaos. Despite the harsher sentences handed down after the Southport murders, unless some action is taken on immigration, there will be more riots on our streets.

Absolutely.

What is interesting is that the rioters are going directly for the police in some cases, but maybe they are angry that the police are protecting citizens in danger. Which is most needful.
