True of the BBC news Wyllow
Of late I have got weary of that long term debate, I'm not interested in continuing it, we'll never agree.
wearisome is a great word.
Comes a time when one has to let things go.
I do care passionately, as I care for the BBC.
Years and years it has given me absolutely unsurpassable radio, world class - R4 intelligent debates and information and fun listening alone to make it all worthwhile. and of course on Radio and TV - the Arts in all their richness: I love their classical music, ad free unlike Classic FM for example, or if you want sounds of the 70's since its our generation...
It has to be said, from every point of view. Just last night I was listening to the Moral Maze on Identity Cards. Politically representing both right and left POV in all their complexity...The unique World Service - I need not go on
It is very challenging to analyse BBC TV. The world films on BBC 3 and 4: Hot debates at Question Time, which very clearly represents the points of view from left to right and those in Industry or the University World.
I dont think the BBC is left wing: of course, it makes mistakes on the most controversial areas, it pays presenters too much imo, we dont need too many "big names" except those that will attract very high viewing figures.
But I truly believe it sits in the middle ground when you take radio and TV programmes like this I have alluded to.
GB new is for those who have a partuclar politics perspective, but I salute particularly their fund raising for causes such as Maggie Oliver's charity and so on. Definitely credit where its due.
