'Under the cosh of Israel' ... it might be a little bit more subtle than that.
Facebook, yes I know, not the most reliable of sources, has listed donations from Israeli connections to some of our very prominent Labour politions.
I will spend time trying to track that, and come back with more detail.

Don’t bother.
Attacking Labour politicians now is it? Israeli connections? Starting to sound anti-Semitic already.
As a country we are not ‘under the cosh of Israel’ or anyone else simply because we are allies and do business with them.

Yes, there were reports that an Ameican citizen was murdered by the Settlers.

At last. News about a young Gazan diarist, I was following during the early stages of the conflict. He posted daily, in The Guardian, about his surroundings, his family, looking for food, and then he went silent.
He managed to leave Gaza and has now published a book. If you can access The Guardian online his story is there this morning.

I checked TRIPS online and read that two Palestinian girls were fully funded by a group here before coming to the UK for surgery in May this year.
However no mention of government involvement in bringing children out for urgent surgery. Are we so much under the cosh of Israel and the US. Think we all know the answer to that question.

Yes I think you are right.

It really is time we grabbed back some independent thought and compassion.

The latest deaths in the West Bank have come about as a result of violent intimidation by illegal and murderous (some one describe their actions as terrorism) Israeli settlers, who have intimidated, harmed and murdered people - driving them from their homes - largely small farmers who have owned the land for thousands of years.

The alarm at the concentration camps proposed for Gaza is growing and another of Israel’s ex-PMs Ehud Olmert, has spoken up against this plan describing it as ethnic cleansing.

One of the sticking points to the ceasefire is the fact that Israel is refusing to withdraw from the area proposed for the concentration camp. Understandably.

Whether this goes ahead or not - it shows the measure of the type of people there are in the Israeli government, who have clearly learned nothing from history and care little for the misery that can be inflicted on man by man.

There will be ‘ an enquiry’. And nothing will come of it. On TRIP’s they said the UK, unlike Italy, is not giving out visas so injured Palestinian children can come here for treatment. Why not???

I’ve written to my MP.

This was a Refugee Camp.
Apparently a 'technical error'. Really?

DH - (I won't repeat the swear word) "They are out of control and are just storing up trouble for the future).

Israeli strike kills children queuing to get water.

Apparently a ‘technical error’ meant that the strike missed its intended target.

Oops!

It happens in wars or do you choose to believe it was deliberate, if so, why ?

Good - oh.

Now back to debating the actions of the protagonists.

There are several posts in this thread saying posters can voice their opinions , you disagree ?
Your posts are making less and less sense, so I am not answering them because I simply don’t know what I’m answering.

Then i misunderstood you post

Well, no-one is going to post that they are anti-semitic, are they!

That would mean their post would be deleted anyway.

True.

So we can all agree then that there isn’t anyone who is anti-Semitic on this thread?

Obviously!
Whether anyone is or not.

It would be a pointless exercise.

Maremia Sun 13-Jul-25 18:42:56

Absolutely!!!!

From what I have read on these posts, and on other threads, I would raise your bid WWM, to 100 per cent against anti- semitism.
I have seen frequent attempts to conflate being anti-Netanyahu (which I am) with anti-semitism, but it has not been accepted.
(We have no way of knowing what 'ghost readers' believe.)

This thread has absolutely nothing to do with anti-semtism.

This thread is about a powerful state using overpowering and excessive force against a very much weaker opponent.

This thread is about genocide and ethnic cleaning.

If someone starts a thread condemning anti-semitism - 99.99% of posters on this will agree.

Yes 99% will agree with you .

You have changed the thread from Israel/Gaza to ethnic cleaning / genocide , but don’t mention the Jews ?
