Law and Order the IDF! They are brutal.

They’re an army in a conflict scenario.
And would be far less brutal than hamas or clans in any future plan for tented enclaves.

Oreo Sun 13-Jul-25 14:22:31

No, they didn’t know what was happening at all, they just treated people there.

They were speaking from a field hospital in Rafah so knew what was happening. Not everyone in Gaza is telling lies and the bodies piling up tell their own story.

Or they may not be Hamas supporters and telling the truth. Neither of us know or can surmise that it will become like the wild west if Israel isn't in charge.
They are doing well with Israel having the upper hand at the moment. Their children being killed almost every day

You don’t think it will become a Wild West without law and order? !

Oreo Sun 13-Jul-25 14:17:45

All the Red Cross can do at best is to tell the world what anyone
‘Said’.

As I said earlier, its not Tunbridge Wells there and never was.
Hamas did keep a lid on most of it by being brutal .
The IDF are turning a blind eye now to clan violence and racketeering only because the clans are anti hamas.
With any law and order removed you can imagine the outcome.
Do your own reading and research on this.

Oreo

The Red Cross there could be hamas supporters as many medics are or they are simply reporting what Gazans have said.
It’s all very murky.

And the GHF are nothing but thugs with guns.

Of course that is my option as that is yours.

Neither of us have any evidence to support our claim.

Well, Israel could leave them to their own devices, it would become a kind of violent mafia type society with the women and children without powerful male family would suffer the most. Then the factions would kill each other, then another violent hamas type group would emerge.
Luckily Israel won’t allow that to happen.

Where did you read that? I’d love a link please

Whitewavemark2 Sun 13-Jul-25 14:09:22

No one should police the Gazans!

Least if all the state that has been the occupying power for decades.

Oreo what proof do you have that the Red Cross are telling lies?

AGAA4 Sun 13-Jul-25 14:03:51

The last people to be policing the Gazans is the IDF. They've just killed more children today. As my post above showed they have been very active in killing and injuring innocents. The Red Cross are busier than ever with casualties.
Do you really think these are suitable people to "police" the Gazans?

And my goodness mocking is the last thing on my mind, but dark humour is normal is such appalling situations.

Normal for you doesn’t mean normal for others

I don’t believe for one minute that you don’t understand that dark humour is a type of coping mechanism for when humans confront appalling horror.

For me the image of what the Israelis were doing surpassed so much of what I’d seen, how do we confront what this world is descending into?

And anybody particularly the police, military, doctors etc use dark humour as a coping mechanism.

We can see it much in evidence on footage of young IDF soldiers - it is shocking in the extreme, but understandable - whilst at the same time difficult to understand.

The Red Cross have treated more mass casualties in their field hospital in Rafah in the last six weeks than in the twelve months previously.
Most people say they were queuing for food or water.

So many lies are told that it’s hard to sort fact from fiction.
The Nasser Hospital is run still by hamas and supporters.

And it been said killed by Hamas to strengthen their standing
in the world , their standing of compassionate terrorists

Oreo Sun 13-Jul-25 13:56:49

Now hamas have been removed just about, of course there’s no law and order.Which is why any camps for the people has to be policed.Gaza has its family factions called clans and they will try to take over, kill others as well.It isn’t Tunbridge Wells.
It makes sense for the Israelis to want Gazans in one place at least for a while.

From what I have seen, heard and read , my views have not changed , the results of the Government back review led by
John Mann and Penny Mordaunt into Antisemitism has sadly
shown me much

Maremia Sun 13-Jul-25 12:24:16

Sadly, foxie48, from what I have seen and heard through the media and beyond, my view now is that Netanyahu and his kind want more that just the removal of Hamas from Gaza.

foxie48 Sun 13-Jul-25 12:17:57

Thank you for quoting my comment, Oreo Yes the remaining hostages are the only card Hamas has which is why they link their return to a permanent ceasefire. Netanyahu and the extremists who are keeping him in power, don't want a permanent ceasefire until they have removed Hamas from Gaza, but they will never reach that point so it enables them to keep bombing and killing. It is a dreadful situation. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be living in Gaza, it must be unbearable. Any culture, Oreo ("Gaza being the sort of community and culture it is"), will resort to "filling the void". The Gazans have had every single aspect of civilised life taken from them, food, water, power, schools, hospitals, dignity, choice, safety etc it's no wonder law and order has broken down.

Maremia Sun 13-Jul-25 12:16:40

CHILDREN KILLED FETCHING WATER,

today's tragedy.

silverlining48 Sun 13-Jul-25 12:10:56

Annie you were married to a policeman as was I, we both know dark humour was a pretty normal way of coping in appalling situations. I was shocked initially but later understood.

This is an appalling situation.
