Israel to conquer Gaza. Part 3
(1001 Posts)because tragically it is not over.
"This is a lie put out by the Israelis" yes and an excuse to kill when other methods of control are available so no excuse.

The aid needs to go in very soon and the IDF has to stop shooting those people in queues for food. There are other ways of controlling unruly people in crowds.
Why wasn’t it necessary to kill them when the UN was providing aid.
This is a lie put out by the Israelis.
Get the aid in

If Netanyahu goes, and is replaced by a decent politician, and the war crimes investigations procede, and the Palestinians are given the political rights and institutions to which they are entitled, that could be the start of peace in the region.
But meanwhile, there is genocide in Gaza and hostages, and October is so many people's lifetimes away.
Just get the aid in, and start from there.
I don't think much will change until the elections in October of next year when hopefully Netanyahu will be out. Surely Israel has had enough of this far right extreme government.
Netanyahu should be arrested and tried for his crimes against humanity now.
If there is a shooter killing people in the high street, the police don’t give him the privilege of finishing what he’s doing before they arrest him!!!
I also respect grantanow’s viewpoint.
Of course none of us really know how all this will end.
I think of other wars where genocide has been committed and the perpetrators were eventually held accountable. And, yet there are other cases where no-one has answered for their crimes against humanity.
I hope that those leading the genocide in Gaza will face justice, and that Israel will rise again as a decent nation, under a decent government, living alongside an independent Palestinian state, also under a decent government.
Surely both Israeli and Palestinian people deserve that.
We do know that there are conversations taking place amongst European countries, including the U.K. about recognising Palestine as a state.
75% of countries already do so.

It won’t regain its status as a civilised country until it has answered for the war crimes.
Agreed.
Netanyahu and his cronies, one day, will be held accountable for their crimes against humanity.
Only then will Israel be able to move forward as a civilised nation.I doubt that will happen any more than Hamas will be held accountable for its war crimes and acts of terrorism. In the long run politics and economics will overtake law: the Arab countries need and want a prosperous future and that means coming to terms with Israel. What Arab leaders need is a political solution they can sell to their Palestinian-supporting populations so they can reach a settlement.

Then you and Grantanow don't agree. Is there a way your separate points of view can be aligned?
😊 I’ve no idea, but I respect grantanow ‘s opinion.
What I am sure is that once Netanyahu is finished as PM, there will be many people calling for him to answer the crimes he’s committed from fraud/corruption right through war crime.
With regard to Hamas. I suspect if they are caught in the process of Israel’s clearing gaza then they will be killed without any recourse to law. And those in hiding outside of Gaza May eventually be caught. Time will tell.
I don’t think that this contradicts grantanow’s argument as both can be true.
From ChatGPT just now:
Yes, economic solutions are on the table, but they depend heavily on political progress. For example, the UAE has proposed investing in infrastructure and technology in the West Bank as part of regional normalization efforts. While such plans could improve daily life and foster cooperation, many Palestinians see them as insufficient without a clear path to statehood. In short, economic incentives can help—but they aren’t a substitute for a political resolution.

Grantanow, what are the chances that International Law will be an existential reality?
WWM, what do you think are the chances Israeli criminals will be brought to justice any time soon?

Do you think Britain and other free countries would declare war on Israel , except that Russia and the USA would join in on the side of Israel and then there would be a world war and possibly a nuclear war?
True, Britain declared war on another fascist country, Nazi Germany. However we had no choice as Germany would have come after Britain if Britain had not made a stand and also Britain did not escalate an existant conflict.
Dr Mohammed Abu Salmiya, the director of Shifa hospital in Gaza City, says 21 children have died of malnutrition and starvation across the territory in the past 72 hours.
Some 900,000 children in Gaza are suffering from hunger, and 70,000 of them are in a state of malnutrition, he tells the BBC.
Netanhayu and his cronies, one day, will be held accountable for their crimes against humanity I hope you're right LizzieDrip.

To retain/regain its status as a civilised country, Israel would have to reign in the crimes being commited by the Settlers/immigrants just now in the West Bank.
Israel is no longer living by international laws. Some in the Knesset are wanted for war crimes.
So many countries are asking them to stop the carnage and find a peaceful solution.

"don't mess with us" or we will kill every man, woman and child in revenge. Sounds more like the mafia than a civilised country.
A civilised country surrounded by countries who give cover to terrorist organisations who do not live by international laws and who have repeatedly announced their intention to wipe every Jew from the planet…
As I have posted repeatedly posted Israel needs stop their offensive and let in aid and independent observers/agencies.

7th October 2023 invasion of Israel by Hamas, 2024 following

Nine staff members at the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, may have been involved in the 7 October Hamas-led attack on Israel, the United Nations says.
All nine would have their employment terminated, said UN deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq.
He said the UN had completed an investigation following allegations by Israel that UNRWA staff were involved.
I would really like to know what Israel is trying to achieve through this constant assault on Gaza?
Is it really the total elimination of the people of Gaza so they can inhabit a land contaminated by the blood of dead people?
What really is their vision for the future?
Do they even have one?
I don't think they seem to understand what a toxic nation Israel is becoming- or maybe they don't even care?
Israel have directly hit a kindergarten with all the children inside.
I expect that was an “error”🙄
