That's very strange because a friend of mine can only live/stay in an EU country for six months every year. She and her partner actually own a house in Germany, but can't live there full-time. She could get temporary visas, but the issue for them is the health costs. It was the same for my sister when she planned to move to Spain.

There are some that are so humble they don't even wear shoes when up there on a platform spouting all manner of bollocks telling us as far as unfettered travel is concerned "we could all do better", before they peddle off, or go by camel all the way back to Montecito These are the dudes that really care about global warming so they are certainly not going to fly in, least of all by a gas guzzling private jet and lecture the rest of us prols on our irresponsibility of taking a couple of EasyJet flights every now and then are they? cos it would be soooo hypocritical .

The ECHR protects ordinary citizens from its own governments. Do you really want to give up that kind of protection?

the problem is, Allira, that the less wealthy seem to resist any attempts to, or suggestions that, the very wealthy should have their wealth curtailed and that they should be prevented from acquiring so much wealth in the first place.

The less wealthy are convinced that they need wealthy people to provide them with jobs and to 'create wealth'. This is actually complete nonsense but that's what most seem to believe and there's no shifting that belief, it seems.

It's not so much sinister as very sad...

The Brexiteers were just more wealthy people trying to squeeze assets out of all those, including governments, who are not extremely wealthy. There was nothing waiting for the "average person".

Maizie is right, the middle classes need to realise that they are next and that this would completely change society.

Keir Starmer was being asked if he put being at the World Economic Forum's Annual meeting (that means it only meets once a year GrannyGravy13) ahead of being in Parliament at that time.

I imagine there are many occasions where each and every PM has put a vital meeting, celebration, funeral, or Act of Remembrance ahead of being in Parliament at the time.

Why get worked up about one report that came out 8 years ago. There are lots of economic forecasts coming out every day from one source or another.

Whatever this man said or wanted it did not matter a ajot or a tittle, because there were probably half a dozen other reports came out the same day with a wide range of forecasts and it has been clear from day one that Brexit was a bad mistake.

Why wouldn't people want to know what's going on. Many people certainly didn't know what was going on when they voted in the referendum (apart from a few pithy headlines).

However, if, as alleged, organisations such as the WEC have been manipulating data more recently, for whatever reason, surely that is of significance, especially if it is to the detriment of the UK and its economy?

Almost certainly! a sinister unelected body with an enormous reach. At the helm Klaus Schwabb looking to all intents and purposes just like the archetypal Bond villain, I suppose he can't help that, still yet another German man with a world vision we had one of those before.
