Safer in twos, whether a male/female, or two females. I wouldn’t want to do a beat on my own.

I agree.

Patrolling in twos.

There might be a problem finding enough 'big strapping' male officers to patrol with them. In my experience male police officers come in all shapes and sizes and are frequently not particularly 'strapping' or big.

OTOH, aren't female officers trained in self defence? If they're not, they should be. That would sort out a lot of problems.

It is quite a complex question. There are numerous situations where I would argue that 2 police women would be much more beneficial than a male one. So I could see that there are also situations where a male presence would be useful.

To be honest, with some of the scumbags on our streets I agree.

It goes against my feminist beliefs, but there is little to none respect for the police, let alone female police.

Sarah Pochin, their justice spokesperson has said that female police officers should only patrol with a "big, strapping male" officer! What century does this woman live in?
