Breaking news Diss hotel refuses to take single men boat people

Good news.

Park Hotel at Diss, Norfolk have just announced they will not accommodate single men illegal immigrants.

There were protests at the hotel a few nights ago because locals do not want this small town invaded. It was peaceful until the pro migrant groups turned up who don’t even live there.

Anyway, well done the Park Hotel. šŸ‘šŸ‘

No, I'm not confused. Those comments were posted by the kind of people you are associating with. You seem to be quite naive about how your support will be viewed.

You have no idea who I associate with, as I say you are very confused in your thinking.

escaped Do you think the concerns are actually justified?

Of course, yes.
At this moment in time, the government is obviously very concerned about summer unrest, the police are concerned and no doubt poised for violent riots too, the councils are concerned for their towns, the locals are concerned for their families, and I'm guessing even the immigrants themselves are concerned too. Posters contributing to this thread are concerned, it's neither hysteria nor paranoia.

It's all a blight on our country, and anyone who doesn't feel concerned about the current mood is either unmindful or uncaring.

Bukkie There were 253 recorded sex offences in the Epping Forest area in 2023. Did I miss the protests for them? I expect they were carried out by men. Are we going to exterminate all men?

The Epping Forest area is large. It covers the towns of Epping, Theydon Bois and Abridge, (villages), Waltham Abbey, Loughton, Buckhurst Hill etc. I know because I lived there for many years, and DD1 and family are there. It includes Chigwell too, (full of crims and dodgy dealers)!! We're probably talking around 150,000 people.
That doesn't excuse the sex offences, but in the bigger picture and all that ........

Not confused at all. However, you very clearly are!

Casdon Overwhelming the police seems to be part of the plan. The theory seems to be that there aren't enough police to go round, if enough hotels are attacked.

I know, I think Farage lying about the police deliberately bussing in counter demonstrators was beyond the pale though. Very little press coverage, unsurprisingly.

It was reported in the Daily Mail that the police did escort pro immigration supporters, so Nige did not lie about it.

growstuff - you really are out of touch with what decent law abiding taxpayers want. We don't want our children and grandchildren to be unable to walk down the street because it is unsafe for them. We don't want our pensioners cold because their winter fuel allowance was spent on migrants in hotels. We don't want our homeless people sleeping in the cold this winter whilst illegal migrants are in warm hotel beds. We don't want them jumping the queue for social housing. We don't want SEN children in schools ignored because budgets are being spent on EAL children. We can't see a GP now let alone in the future if this influx carries on. We don't want another student like Libby Squire being raped and murdered. We don't want a repeat of Southport. Those beautiful girls and their amazing brave dignified parents deserve our support and love. What we do need is an end to our country being destroyed and Reform are the party to turn the tide.

Does that mean that I’m not a decent law abiding tax payer because I don’t approve of the racism stirred up by Farage and his followers?

What a great post, you have put our concerns so succinctly, thank you šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

I hate to break the news Mt61, but YouTube is hardly an unbiassed source of information. It's largely unregulated and just about anybody can use it as a propaganda tool.

PS. You'd probably be better informed if you read/watched a range of regulated MSM sources with different viewpoints. If two sources with known opposing viewpoints report something differently, you (as a rational human being) can decide which is likely to be most true.

YouTube and some of the internet in general has become a rabbit warren of conspiracy theories and propaganda. I'm afraid some people have disappeared in the maze of tunnels and are only exposed to the myths.

There is a very wide range of videos on this topic on YouTube of all descriptions.

Personally - I'd recommend the BlackBeltBarrister channels. He is a British barrister living in Britain (and yep...he can hardly be biased - he has a foreign wife). He's clearly highly-intelligent (as one would expect normally from a barrister) and he does some positively forensic analysis on topics he is interested in.

Most recently - he is focusing a lot on illegal immigrants - and worth a watch.

According to their account the police did not escort pro immigration TO the site, they escorted them away from it, for this own safety. There is a huge difference between the two versions.

Have some respect for other posters, this clip from your post to Bukkie is very juvenile

""Can you get it into your thick head ""

No , I have zero respect for stupid racism.

Zero.

How can anybody confuse Southport with men in Hotels?

ā€œTiff Lynch, the head of the Police Federation, which represents rank-and-file officers, said forces were not ready for a summer of unrest. She said officers were being ā€œpulled in
every directionā€ and commanders ā€œforced to choose between keeping the peace at home or plugging national gapsā€.
Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Lynch said unrest in Epping was a ā€œsignal flareā€ for more to come. The federation added that already underfunded police forces would be forced to take officers away from neighbourhood policing duties to manage anti-migrant protests that turned violent.ā€
This is again from The Times. So, do people really want our police taken away from protecting us and our families from genuine crime because they’re having to police violent demonstrations fuelled by Neo Nazi groups? I do understand people’s concerns about illegal immigration but imo the people behind these protests do not have my interests at heart, they have a far wider agenda and none of it is going to benefit most of us.

We certainly need to stop pre-loading cards with Ā£50 a week ā€˜for essentials’. The irregular migrants are already being housed, fed and watered. We are too soft. Macron was right about the pull factor. Apparently some migrants are using their cards for gambling. Utterly ridiculous how stupid we are.

If food is provided with the accommodation they only receive £9.95 a week.

Mt61 Fri 25-Jul-25 08:31:33

Yes cariadagain, yes he’s one of the main ones I watch. Very interesting & informative. I don’t watch conspiracy forums. I like GB news- all good presenters, especially Patrick, who has gone into these camps in France, risking his neck, to interview the migrants. He also set up an arrangement to be taken to uk on a rubber dingy- that was interesting.
June Slater is very good.
I watched something by the bbc on Lancashire cotton mills, on YouTube when the bcc were great. So not all doom & gloom.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 25-Jul-25 08:43:06

Being concerned about 1,000’s of single men being housed together around the country, with nothing better to do other than hang around street corners is not being racist.

Absolutely. We are heading for big trouble in this country. I doubt if Reform can solve anything but they say they will and people believe them. Labour have 4 years to sort this out otherwise Nigel Farage will be the next Prime Minister.

Bukkie Fri 25-Jul-25 09:08:41

Granny Gravy - spot on but grow stuff and Mt61 seem determined to ignore people's concerns and stir the pot. I do not know what the cut and paste comment is about because the post was my own words and I certainly haven't seen anything on You tube. Of course I cry when a child or adult is murdered. The loss of a life in any dreadful circumstances in an untimely manner is to be mourned. Any decent human being would.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 25-Jul-25 09:13:02

I have always advocated for those who want to seek asylum in the U.K. to be able to apply via our embassy’s abroad, or an office attached to/by them.

I abhor the millionaire people smugglers, who are the lowest of the low trading on people’s hopes and dreams, feeding them stories about our streets being paved with gold etc.,

I do not want to see Nigel Farage as our PM, I would like to seem our current PM crack on with his election promise of smashing the gangs

I do not want to see a summer of riots and protests, all that will do is harden either side…
