Some of the food has been wasted as it hasn't reached those who desperately need it. One pallet fell into Gaza city a stronghold of the IDF so no Palestinians will have had any of that food.

As some of the drops were made into enemy territory the Gazans were unable to access it for fear of being killed. Wondering how that happened. Perhaps it is difficult to assess where the pallets will land.

I posted a link from Jeramy Bowen who explained how difficult airdrops are, and he has witnessed a few. People who know about airdrops are now openly saying that they are a token gesture.

Aid drops are a waste of aid and we know what will happen to most of it, stolen and sold for hard cash.

Israel has now banned aerial filming over Gaza. Sky News journalists on an aid drop were warned: record from above, and your flight gets pulled.

You don’t blacklist airspace unless the view exposes a crime. And you don’t hide genocide unless you’re neck-deep in it.

I’m more convinced he’s caved to the horror and given up trying to persuade Netanyahu to be sensible never mind compassionate

Maybe ashamed of Keir for caving into his own MP’s.

A very popular well known Palestinian was brutally killed by an illegal settler in West Bank.

The IDF then forced people away from the mourning tent.

What utterly evil people they are.

For me the most important thing, and always has been are the little innocents.

It is too late for many, but the older children may be able to be saved.

Israel for me will never have my support ever again. All my life I have argued and supported it.

Because if so, then the UK does have a bit of bargaining power.

Point of information, does the UK supply military materials and support to Israel?

So all countries should just sit back and allow Israel to kill all the people in Gaza. There's not much we can do but what can be done should be done.

Beyond horrific, I totally agree. But let’s be honest - this is political posturing.

In real terms what difference is it going to make whether the UK, France or any other country recognises Palestine?

Since 1988 over 140 countries have already done so, included (so called) superpowers China and Russia. Yet there's still no actual state of Palestine and probably won't be - until the US (and therefor by definition Israel too) decide it's time. Then it'll take another (at least) 50 years to determine the geographic boundaries.

And the children?

Spain and Ireland recognised Palestine as a 'state' back in May. Has it a made a difference to the current situation? Nope.

There are only two countries that can make a difference - Israel and USA.

But we know that, don’t we?
