Man made famine - the world should be ashamed

We sit by watching as children starve to death, their mothers’ cannot feed them and their fathers’ unable to provide them with food.

Every single calorie is controlled by one government.

Why are we allowing this situation to continue?

I have read Australian sites which seem to agree that Nasser hospital has been involved in Hamas activity from the outset.

How can Australia know that? Just an opinion and attacking a hospital is a war crime especially the way it was done.
The IDF used the double attack. The first attack killed some then they wait for people to rush to their aid and killed them too.
It's was a despicable act and not a mishap.

Surely the whole point of Hamas placing cameras on hospital roof tops is to kill Israeli troops? It’s not holiday snaps.

Have you actually read what constitutes a war crime? Or are you simply dismissing it as an unnecessary restriction?

David you don't even need to point a gun. Drive a clearly marked ambulance...boom, boom. Wait for food to give to starving children.. boom, boom. Be a child sitting in a car surrounded by your dead family,, boom, boom. Wave white flags and shout that you're a hostage.. boom, boom. Be Palestinian and live in Gaza.. boom, boom. No one in Gaza is safe that's Netanyahu's war.

This puzzles me, claims that Israel chooses to starve Israeli children is so untrue , it’s impossible without cooperation from the children’s families

Camera, not gun!

I don't agree with Anniebach's views but I will uphold her right to say them as I would for any poster.
Including Eloethan?

I give my opinions on Israel and Palestinian Hamas, not on what a poster allegedly said in posts 8 years ago about treatment of Wales by England .
And by the by , England took land from Wales .

David49 Wed 27-Aug-25 06:52:45

Propaganda is the only weapon Hamas has no doubt images were going to be used by them for that, if not for military surveillance.
So now we know the score, point a camera at the IDF and they will shoot at you.

And how about guessing what might have happened if the camera hadn’t been taken out? Shall we say that Israel also has a duty of care to its soldiers?

It was the IDF claimed the camera was positioned by Hamas not the BBC as you posted earlier.

Israel doesn't follow a duty of care for the Palestinians or their own soldiers
IDF leaders have said the soldiers are exhausted and the war needs to stop.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-Aug-25 18:54:57

International humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions, makes the killing of civilians a war crime and holds both individual soldiers and their states accountable. A country cannot use "defending its soldiers" as a right to excuse or justify the killing of civilians. Instead, states have a legal obligation to investigate and prosecute their soldiers who commit such crimes

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-Aug-25 18:37:51

What everyone seems to be missing is that Israel has a duty of care under the Geneva convention to avoid killing civilians and journalists.

They committed a war crime with the first lot of bombing never mind the second. It absolutely doesn’t matter who put the camera there.

ronib Tue 26-Aug-25 18:17:58

Our security services won’t be involved in a camera put on the roof of a hospital surely?

Aveline Tue 26-Aug-25 18:14:02

You doubt it? Oh well that's bound to be rightgrin Give some credit to our security services.

ronib Tue 26-Aug-25 18:04:14

So Germany doesn’t have accurate briefing?

Of course they say they 'didnt intend to kill journalists'! They would wouldn't they. I suspect that Starmer has more accurate and detailed briefing.

I very much doubt it

ronib Tue 26-Aug-25 17:46:02

According to the BBC, the camera on the roof of the hospital was positioned there by Hamas.
The German government recognised that Israel did not intend to kill journalists. Who on earth is advising Starmer? Total embarrassment.

Al Jazeera is run in Qatar so not very friendly towards the west.

Allira Tue 26-Aug-25 16:21:42

I just quoted from a report by Al Jazeera.

It seemed to be a rather worrying statement.

Anniebach Tue 26-Aug-25 16:13:24

Quote Allira Tue 26-Aug-25 15:45:34

We hold the Israeli occupation, the American administration, and the countries participating in the genocide crime such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France fully responsible for committing these heinous brutal crimes.”

Could this be the reason why those countries supported Palestine?
Israel stands alone , Palestine has much support in Middle East ?
🤔
