Cut taxes
Get us all back to work (can I have a sitting down job, please, Nige, my knees aren't up to much)
Slash energy bills (run round the block three times to get warm, sorry, see above)
Increase the cost of borrowing

I wonder how many of us have worked in teams with a ‘principled Rosie Duffield’. I have and whilst I could admire the principle, it left the rest of the team picking up pieces, calming emotional temperatures and trying to do our jobs effectively without being accused of not being quite principled enough

Yes, it's difficult even though you can admire their stance.
I admired Tony Ben although I didn't always agree with him and liked him more when I read his memoirs, he gave me hope.

Not without his flaws though, I suppose he was only human when it came to family.

They had an anti vacc’er speaking at their party conference today. Maybe that will filter it’s way into their policies?

I read about the doctor at the Reform conference who suggested the Cancers suffered by the King and Princess of Wales were triggered by the Covid immunisations

If someone from the Labour Party had said that it would have been headline news in the tabloids. He also said it about two people who he knew could not reply in any way. Shameful and downright nasty imo.

Whatever the truth of damage caused by Covid vaccines, surely it is important to be able to express opposing viewpoints? Or have we been so brainwashed and browbeaten?

I’ve also read recently and I’m hunting up the source, that Covid is responsible for the increase in Autism and other neurodiverse issues.

You mean in the way that people are refusing to vaccinate their children for measles in America ( thanks to the man in charge of the nations health) which is putting all children at risk? There is a difference between informing people and downright scaremongering. The way that they’re saying that being persuaded to vaccinate a child is taking away personal liberty? What happens in America tends to filter through to this country. Still if that’s what people want good luck to them.

My eldest child had a severe reaction when one year old and my gp advised against a booster jab and also not to vaccinate my other children. They were fine.

Ronib what of course we will never know is how damaging it might or might not have been for your other children to have been vaccinated. I absolutely defend your right to make a choice based on experience but what I don't defend is the prolification of conspiracy theories based on very little evidence that put children and others at risk. We vaccinate to protect others as well as ourselves, often those of us who can't be vaccinated rely on those who can, stepping up and being vaccinated. It's how societies work, we do things to help others as well as ourselves because we are invested in the survival of those around us as much as we are invested in our own survival.

I was just about to say that foxie. If enough children have the measles vaccine they will protect those who don’t or unfortunately can’t. It was always with a certain amount of trepidation that I had my children vaccinated.

I’ve heard Covid or the vaccine blamed for so many things, but Autism was a new one for me.

I heard Dr Sarah Jarvis on Radio 2 today talking about people damaged from covid jabs. When covid started, She initially told listeners and viewers that she did not approve of the jabs . She was then taken off air I believe. Some time later she was back on air again day after day, week in, week out and no doubt earning a fortune, telling everyone to get jabbed.

Today she is giving all the facts and figures on people damaged by the jabs.

I’ve just scanned various reports of her interviews from the pandemic to present day. My impression is she was giving information based on her knowledge and experience at various different times. Isn’t that what we would expect when an illness never before experienced, well a pandemic, occurs?

So for those of us who have not seen the programme what does she actually say? I've checked her out quickly and she took part in the early trials of the vaccine at Chelsea and Westminster and was totally supportive of the vaccination programme. We all know a small percentage of people had bad reactions and the pfizer vaccine caused heart inflammation in some patients and is no long recommended for everyone. The vaccines have been used for over Four years now, is there new information?

Of course you were right to take the GP’s advice. There will always be a small minority of individuals who cannot take a vaccine for very specific reasons particular to them.

I’m glad your child was fine.

Do you know why she / he was fine? If you understand how vaccinations work across the population as a whole, then you will know why your child was fine.

Viewpoints don't all carry equal weight. People need to be able to analyse and evaluate.

Despite all the "noise", there is virtually no scientifically validated evidence against vaccines.

I don’t usually listen to Jeremy Vine, but heard this when I was driving yesterday. Sarah Jarvis was primarily talking about the impact of long covid, she was not suggesting in any way that vaccination was not the best option for people to protect themselves.

Your child was fine because the vast majority of children are vaccinated, so infections aren't out there to be caught. Have you not heard of herd immunity?
