Peter Mandelson should do the correct thing once in his political life, fall on his sword.

Another Starmer u-turn coming? He must live in a permanent vortex.

Still looking for the corner in the barrel….

Seems to me perfectly plausible that Mandelson didn’t know about the young girls. Do you sack someone from their job because they have or had dubious friends? I didn’t think it a good appointment in the first place but this furore seems to be more about embarrassing Starmer than about M himself.

Well apparently Labour MPs are breaking ranks to call for Lord Mandelson to be sacked over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Sir Keir Starmer is facing growing pressure from within his own party to sack the British ambassador to the US over his friendship with the late financier and convicted paedophile.

However, the Prime Minister has insisted he backs the Labour peer despite demands from MPs on the Left of the party, including a candidate to be the new deputy leader. 😡

He should never have been appointed in the first place.
Yet another bad judgement on Starmer's part.

A very clever nasty manipulative man. He’s far too slippery for Starmer to get rid of him.

I accepted Mandelson’s appointment but I hope Starmer sacks him. His ‘apology’ to the victims made me so angry.

I hope he sacks him FGT and faces the inevitable scrutiny and criticism, Allowing Angela to resign, I accept. Not this though. I was so. Ross, I wrote to my MP

If Rayner had to quit (for much less opprobrium) then yes, he should go. But Starmer won’t sack him. It’s puts his judgement under scrutiny.

I should add, I could see the reasons Mandelson was appointed. He seems to have made a reasonable start. But I believe him staying is untenable

I was listening today that it will be difficult for Starmer to sack Mandelson as he appears in the same “diary” as Trump, and that would be criticising Trump as well.

I think Mandelson should resign forthwith. Should never in fact have been appointed. Oily little man with some very dubious friends.

In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting sec from girls as yiung as 14. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison
Mandelson continued his friendship/business dealings with Epstein. The Telegraph reports when business secretary, Mandelson brokered a deal with Epstein after the conviction for child sex offences.
I heard PM today apologising, wishing he’d never met Epstein. He went on to apologise to the victims, he hadn’t noticed abuse of girls possibly because he’s gay and was there with his partner.
My view? How was he appointed? I knew about his links with Epstein which were always going to return to haunt him
