4 of the 5 conditions are fulfilled.

UN report.

AGAA4 Fri 19-Sept-25 10:00:29

The US has vetoed the sixth call by the UN for a ceasefire.
Pakistani ambassador has said "the cries of children should pierce our hearts".

A ceasefire would interfere with bigger plans for Gaza.

The atrocities by Hamas that started this conflict are no justification for this Genocide Oreo and that isn't why Trump's supporting Netanhyahu. It's all about making $$$$$$'s.

AGAA4 Fri 19-Sept-25 09:29:59

The Washington Post has posted earlier this month that an idea for Gaza will be a trusteeship administered by the US for at least ten years. It will be turned into a tourism and hi-tech manufacturing hub.
Trump is letting Israel do the ground work for him.

Im not sorry my image failed. Perhaps the blank says far, far, more.

There is a suggestion by the UN that the actual level of deaths is far larger

It has to be far greater, there are countless bodies buried underneath the rubble.

That is probably true as the Palestinians have been part of the 'demolition' process.

My heart bleeds. When it's on the news, it's the hardest thing in my lifetime I've had to watch.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 19-Sept-25 09:11:49

oreo what do you think should now happen to the Palestinians?

Today at the press conference with Trump, it was good to hear Starmer reiterate that the U.K. will recognise the Palestinian state.

It was even better hearing Trump reminding journalists about the atrocities by hamas that started this conflict.

Smotrich has declared Gaza a "real estate bonanza. We have done the demolition work now we need to build".
This has been the plan from the start aided by the US. Trump only thinks in money and Palestinian lives have no value.
It's sickening that they are taking over the land belonging to the Gazans and have killed 65000 to fulfil this aim.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 19-Sept-25 08:55:57

During the first mass expulsion of Palestinians (Nakba) 750000 were expelled and have remained as refugees ever since.
There was further expulsion in 1967.

Each time the Israelis stole the land from its owners and settled illegally.

Babs03 Fri 19-Sept-25 08:55:45

I just wonder how those who feel it is ok for Palestinians to be displaced stand on ‘the no right to return ‘ rule.

Babs03 Fri 19-Sept-25 08:46:19

Egypt knows that any refugees will have no right to return so as you say WWM2 they do not want to be complicit in ethnic cleansing.
I was not aware they have that many refugees. I know that Lebanon have over a million - mainly Syrians - and Lebanon has no economy or reliable electricity supply or clean water.
Yeah, puts our migrant crisis in perspective.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 19-Sept-25 07:49:54

That should read ……. Egypt of imprisoning…..

Whitewavemark2 Fri 19-Sept-25 07:48:43

Netanyahu has a bloody nerve, he is now accusing Egypt of imprison big the Palestinians in Gaza, because Egypt is refusing to accept mass expulsion of these people from their land.

Egypt has 9 million refugees in its borders. How on earth can it possibly take any more? Blimey we think we are badly off!

Egypts refusal is because it quite tightly refuses to be complicit in the ethnic cleansing of a whole population from its own land.

9 UN aid workers sacked ..…out of how many thousands?

Yes 9 sacked , I don’t know how many more may have been involved, if any

I respect you have your opinions Babs , I don’t agree with you and I am not in denial, I post my opinions and thoughts as do you and all who post.

Yes, UN had aid workers in Gaza 7th October 2023, UN explained a number had been sacked for taking part in the brutal attack on Israel which started the war

Babs03 Thu 18-Sept-25 21:37:05

Medicine sans frontier have been there since the beginning as have some aid agencies, brave people.
But I didn’t expect you to believe it Annie, nor do I need to persuade you, you can carry on disbelieving what the majority are saying until the weight of evidence becomes too great even for you, or you continue in denial.
I really don’t care, just as you don’t care what I believe.

Anniebach Thu 18-Sept-25 21:19:17

Suddenly ‘all aid agencies and medical personnel’ are in Gaza,
no food deliveries, no journalists allowed, if genocide why aid agencies and medical personnel there

Babs03 Thu 18-Sept-25 21:06:46

I listened to a British military man who had been in Gaza who said it was not genocide. the UN have taken information from Hamas. Hamas have pledged genocide to Israel for many years. I don't think you would give warnings for people to evacuate if you wanted genocide and you wouldn't be sending in aid?

Ok so all the aid agencies and medical personnel on the ground in Gaza as well as those who have reported back to the UN, are lying??
Or this rather convenient military man is?
I very much doubt western governments used to gathering intelligence would be so alarmed by what Israel is doing if it was all a big hoax.

Carbonated Thu 18-Sept-25 20:24:47

Interesting there are comments in this thread about how bad Hamas have been. They are a terrorist organisation. What else than violence and desperation can one expect from them?
This thread is about Israels genocide. Something people across the world will not forget. Its being committed by a democratically elected government representing a free people.
Inequal culpability.

AGAA4 Thu 18-Sept-25 19:31:35

It's more or less ended for Hamas - for now.

Oreo Thu 18-Sept-25 19:13:10

It won’t end well for hamas, I’ll give you that.
