4 of the 5 conditions are fulfilled.

UN report.

What are your calculations AnnieB, the number of times GENOCIDE has been denied on these threads?

I have said and still say, it is not genocide. Very few say the same.

Netanyahu isn't interested in the hostages and never was. He wants Gaza gone and the hopes of a Palestinian state with it.

If he really wanted the hostages out he wouldn't be bombing hospitals and killing innocent children.

He has gone too far and it doesn't look like there's a hope in hell this war will end well for Hammas or for Israel...

I listened to a British military man who had been in Gaza who said it was not genocide. the UN have taken information from Hamas. Hamas have pledged genocide to Israel for many years. I don't think you would give warnings for people to evacuate if you wanted genocide and you wouldn't be sending in aid?

Exactly. Figures provided by Hamas swallowed whole by gullible institutions in thrall to some idiotically romantic idea of Hamas as being basically cuddly and not at all the sort of people who'd chuck gays off high buildings.

Give me strength.

I missed that bit. What was the reaction?

Whitewavemark2 Thu 18-Sept-25 17:19:15

Today at the press conference with Trump, it was good to hear Starmer reiterate that the U.K. will recognise the Palestinian state.

As many times as he has done it. Destroyed the Hostages chances of release.

Think of a number and multiply by 2, 4, 10, 20?

If the Hostage Families are blaming Netanyahu for sabotaging the ceasfire deals so many times, perhaps they should be listened to.

Many times ? how many is many

Yet if Gaza is being bomb to pieces, if those who live there are starving to,death and Hamas are beaten , why keep the hostages? pointless saying “to ward off Israel “ yes ?

So they should just release the hostages without a ceasefire??
And straight away the hostages are either shot or bombed by the IDF.
Not a clever move Annie.
The whole idea of a ceasefire benefits the hostages as well as Hamas and the Palestinians.
Sometimes we need to join the dots.

Trying to call it defence now is laughable. It stopped being defence a long time ago.

Agree.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 18-Sept-25 16:23:13

There have been a few times when the hostages were going to be release as a result of an agreement, but Netanyahu scuppered it by his actions each time.

Shame. Shame. Shame on the Israeli governments. Their genocide causing suffering in a similar vein as that endured by the Jewish and other victims of the holocaust, has resulted in a stain, that people across the world won't forget. Even if they are called names for stating the truth, by the Israeli government.

Perhaps just handing back the remaining hostages dead and alive would ease the situation

I agree but Israel refused further talks to ensure a ceasefire whereby the hostages could be handed back.
Families of the hostages are now blaming the government, some have been camped outside Netanyahus house.

What I have heard on other threads ?

Netanyahu started the war to avoid being tried for something in a court of law .

Netanyahu planned the attack 7th October 2023 with Hamas, he ordered all defence forces to take the 7th October 2023 off work , still to avoid being prosecuted,

then Trump is elected.

Trump and Netanyahu will take Gaza by force and turn it into a luxury holiday resort.

Was a talk given in the university of South Sussex yesterday by a medical ethics professor - it is a medical school - regarding how the Israeli government targeted hospitals in Gaza thereby preventing medical care. Another condition of genocide ticked.

Maremia Thu 18-Sept-25 16:03:44

Genocide, and the world is wakening up to that fact.

AGAA4 Thu 18-Sept-25 16:02:56

If the aim was to 'root out Hamas' why are so many dead and injured?
Why did they have to kill so many children because they thought one Hamas fighter was nearby?
Why did Israel put a blockade on aid for 3 months then inhibited it getting through ever since.
This is not how a civilised country behaves as so very very many believe now.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 18-Sept-25 16:02:44

Israel is simply preparing Gaza for a complete takeover and development. They have said so. There is no other plan.

The fly in the ointment will always be the Palestinians. The concentration camps will contain them for the time, but I am sure that Israel has a plan as to what must be done with them. They can’t stay in Gaza that’s for sure.

Maremia Thu 18-Sept-25 16:01:40

You have heard this all before on other threads and I will repeat it here,
Bezalel Smoritch, 'A military victory would see Gaza totally destoyed'
Knesset politicians have signed letters calling for the 'complete cleansing' of the territory.
