4 of the 5 conditions are fulfilled.

UN report.

doctor who regularly posts diatribes about “Jewish supremacy” on social media and has called for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel has been allowed by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) to continue practicing medicine while the General Medical Council investigates her conduct.

Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, who was also a member of Palestine Action before its proscription as a terrorist organisation, is now infamous within the British Jewish community for such claims as “the UK is occupied and controlled by Jewish supremacy – in fact, most Christian majority countries are”, and that the Royal Free Hospital in London, which has a large number of Jewish patients given its location, is a “Jewish Supremacy Cesspit”.

A doctor ? What a surprise !

I feel some optimism about this comprehensive plan now. If Gaza is governed by Blair, who will not allow the Palestinians to be displaced, there could be hope at last for those Palestinians who are left.

Netanyahu is meeting Trump on Monday and it sounds as though he will be tougher with Netanyahu to get this war over.

I would so like to believe that, but like Putin Netanyahu believes he has a useful idiot at his disposal with Trump. He only has to promise Trump some kind of deal and Trump will be bigging up the war again.
However, am hoping I am just a sceptical old trout.

Babs03 Fri 26-Sept-25 13:22:32

Isn’t working behind the scenes and having experience one and the same thing.
Good grief, why split hairs when we are talking about something so much bigger.

I am not sure what you are disagreeing with.

Blair has been doing both.

His experience has been recognised and respected by the Arab nations for a number of years and using this experience Blair has been working behind the scenes to bring peace 🤞to the Middle East.

What’s not to like?

I didn’t agree with you, I believe Blair was appointed because of his experience , you claimed “working behind the scene, I accept you have had the morning to put a different slant on it, end of

annie It certainly did. The Arab nations have been working with Blair for years. And his experience must have a real influence.

I disagree, I think he was appointed for his experience not as you do, ‘working behind the scenes’

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 12:19:28

Netanyahu at 2pm I think? That will be worth listening to - just for the depression factor😡

I dislike Blair but any port in a storm, if he can find a solution to the conflict and stop the awful loss of life then he will go up in my estimation.
And yes he did well with the GFA so fingers and everything else crossed 🤞

foxie48 Fri 26-Sept-25 11:57:10

I have my fingers and toes crossed that the end of this war is in sight. Love or hate Blair, he is a strategic thinker and has spent a lot of time in the Middle East. I like to think that it's been to make amends for Iraq, which is such a stain on his legacy.

Blair was Middle East envoy, 2007 - 2015
Yes, and he has been in the Middle East ever since working with Arab nations. So he has a deal of experience.

Yet you say he worked behind the scenes with all his contacts to get this set up , his experience had nothing to do with his appointment?

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 09:31:28

Blair must have been working incredibly hard with all his contacts behind the scenes to get this set up. Trump had to be persuaded away from his “riviera” scheme, and cleansing Gaza of Palestinians.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 09:17:22

Netanyahu’s speech today - almost certainly broadcast live one one channel or another will I have no doubt give us some indication if the Blair project is going to take off.

Be quite interesting as it appears that Trump has pinned his plans to the Blair mast - so if Netanyahu refuses to play ball - what happens to future USA support?

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 09:07:56

Anniebach

And all security forces ?

Provided by Arab states.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 09:07:34

So the plan is for Blair to head up a temporary administration initially on the Egyptian side of south Gaza and then alongside a UN backed largely Arab Multi-national force eventually enter Gaza.

It is intended that the PA will unify all the Palestinian territory and people.

If Blair pulls this off he will s…t miracles, as he is not popular with the Palestinians because if his perceived opposition to their statehood and Iraq.

I think it stands more chance if it has a clear and enforceable timeline to Palestinian statehood

Absolutely everything crossed for this beacon of hope.

Not clear yet what Israel’s reaction is.

AGAA4 Fri 26-Sept-25 09:06:57

Blair has said he will not support anything that displaces the Palestinians people.

Anniebach Fri 26-Sept-25 08:59:46

And all security forces ?

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 08:49:05

So Microsoft has blocked/terminated the IDFs access to Microsoft’s technology that it has been using to survey Palestinian civilians.

That is one way the IDF would have known of the Oct. raid in advance.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 08:41:55

Meanwhile the suffering continues.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 26-Sept-25 08:40:55

Ah, I wondered what he has been doing in Washington - now I know. I sort if suspected something if this sort. I just hope he hasn’t sold out to Trump.

Blair has been working in the Middle East for years now. I am sure that he has built up a huge amount of contacts.

AGAA4 Fri 26-Sept-25 08:27:11

Tony Blair is in discussions to run a transitional Gaza authority if there is a ceasefire. This has been discussed with Trump and Arab leaders.
