13 jobs Farage

So Farage has at last submitted his earnings. (Last time was May). He apparently has 12 other jobs apart from being an MP and is the highest earning MP . Up to this July he reportedly earned over £1.2 million from outside jobs. (Twice the next highest earner, Rishi Sunak). No wonder he hardly bothers visiting his Clacton constituents or attending parliament.

When Farage turns 63 he will claim his EU annual pension of £73,000.

ronib Sat 11-Oct-25 19:01:03

So will he move to Abu Dhabi to avoid taxation? mokryna. Maybe Dubai?

mokryna Sat 11-Oct-25 19:24:49

As his absenteeism was so high he shouldn’t get any.

You mean to join his mate Tice and his girlfriend? Oh sorry, that’s Dubai…

Yup MayBee70.

We now know that Reform's bold claims about tax cuts are going down the toilet, with Reform Councils RAISING them.

So much for Farrago's fag-packet policies.

Oh, any actual or would-be Reform voters, DO have a thought for Nigel's desire to send anyone with a brown skin back to where they or ancestors came from. We had to visit the NHS recently, that policy would shut down the NHS within a day, without those doctors, nurses, and the massive amount of ancillary staff.

Maremia Sun 19-Oct-25 09:47:59

Not sure if this is relevant, and couldn't get beyond the headline, of The Times, on Facebook, but read that Farage's girlfriend is implicated in a 'fraud' in Belgium.

PaynesGrey Sun 19-Oct-25 10:41:34

This may or may not be a non story but it's here if anyone wants to read the case so far.

Chamber 69 of the Tribunal de première instance, a Brussels court specialising in financial crime, is due to make its judgment on November 5.

LemonJam Sun 19-Oct-25 11:22:57

Thanks for the link PaynesGrey, I wasn't aware of this story and look forward to judgement on November 5.

It made me think of the parallels to The Reform Party think tank here in the UK- i.e. Reform Research Trust, first registered as a charity on 4 March 2004 then also as a Ltd company at Companies House on 13 May 2004. Has been renamed to RE:State in May 2025.

Re:State wants to Re:imagine the State, Re:imagine the Local State, Re:imagine Whitehall, Re:Imagine Health- i.e. DISRUPT the current status quo, tax and welfare. Liz Truss was a former director - her reimagining didn't get very far!

Also I wonder at the parallel with Reform, the Ltd company set up and owned by Nigel Farage originally as the Brexit Party, this year renamed Reform 2025 Ltd. Who knows how much money Farage made giving up ownership of his majority shares this year in February to "professionalise the party" and so Farage could then publicly say Reform is now "non-profit, with no share holders and limited by guarantee"? His shares were estimated worth £million +

What is now built into Reform 2025 Ltd constitution is an agreement can be made to remove Reform's leader Farage in a no-confidence vote, but only if 50 of them or 50% of 100 Refrom MPs writes to the chairman requesting one. But there are only 5 Reform sitting MPs currently! So Nigel is unassailable as leader until there are 100 or more Reform MPs. voted in- he has unassailable authority in his party until then.

Opaque financial and power play dealings....

^Chamber 69 of the Tribunal de première instance, a Brussels court specialising in financial crime, is due to make its judgment on November 5.^

‘Nigel Farage’s partner is embroiled in a criminal investigation involving allegations of fraud at a Eurosceptic group that she ran when they were both working in Brussels.

Laure Ferrari served as executive director of the Institute for Direct Democracy in Europe (IDDE), a think tank based in the Belgian capital, when auditors refused to sign off spending of hundreds of thousands of euros of public funds in 2016.

The European Commission anti-fraud unit spent years investigating the organisation, and an affiliated parliamentary group of which Ukip was the biggest party, before handing the case onto local law enforcement.

Chamber 69 of the Tribunal de première instance, a Brussels court specialising in financial crime, is due to make its judgment on November 5.

Ann Lukowiak, a spokeswoman for the federal prosecutor, confirmed it would be a “final judgement where appeal will be possible”. She would not say which individuals were under investigation, or what sanctions were being proposed, citing confidentiality’.

I agree with the Posters saying all MP taxes should be declared. Could be made into part of the contract.

Maremia Sun 19-Oct-25 20:21:14

Yes MayBee, read that earlier.

“Nigel Farage has been labelled misogynistic and disrespectful for the way he spoke to Mishal Husain during an interview with the journalist.

The Reform UK leader was speaking to Husain as part of an interview for Bloomberg when she challenged him over his recent comments saying he would ‘shoot down’ Russian planes that enter NATO airspace.

Husain asked Farage: “If you were prime minister and Russian jets entered Nato air space, where do you stand on that?”

“Got to shoot them down,” Farage replied.

When Husain pushed the politician over the potential consequences of shooting down Russian planes, Farage condescendingly butted in: “Listen love, you’re trying ever so hard.”

As Husain asked him if he was suggesting Russia “needs to be taught a lesson,” Farage again said: “Listen love, you’re trying ever so hard.

He continued: “I’m the only person in the world, I think, that stood up in the European Parliament in 2014, and d’you know what I said? There will be a war in Ukraine. It’s coming. I’m the only person that got it right.”

Farage has been widely condemned for the tone he took with Husain”..
This is on utube ( can’t do a link). The way he spoke to Husain was horrible. Every now and again his mask slips and he shows himself for the sort of person he really is.

LemonJam Mon 20-Oct-25 16:41:55

I've just watched the video on Youtube MayBee70. Pointing his finger, very condescending tone, quite misogynistic too- horrible indeed. When someone shows you who they really are- believe them.....

Chocolatelovinggran Mon 20-Oct-25 16:58:24

" Listen, love" ?- good grief!

MaizieD Mon 27-Oct-25 21:24:05

Led by Donkeys have made a little film about Farage's little earners on the side:

It is an excellent film.
PS they are no longer under investigation for the film they projected onto Windsor Castle, when Trump was visiting.

Wyllow3 Mon 27-Oct-25 22:03:48

Useful information being stashed in my mind. I go out door knocking for the Labour Party. I'm fine if people want to vote Green or Lib Dem. Just keep Farage's lot out.

Maremia Tue 28-Oct-25 07:04:00

Good plan Wyllow.

The millionaires of Reform now think that the minimum wage for young people is too high.

Maremia Mon 03-Nov-25 14:18:40

Interesting. I read that young people were being drawn to Reform.
That will so convince them.

PaynesGrey Mon 03-Nov-25 14:48:43

The polls don’t show that they are. Reform is polling no more than the 9% vote share they had from 18-24s in 2024.

When we have around a million NEETS, young people not in employment, education or training, a policy to cut minimum wage to below what it currently is, a paltry £7.55 an hour, is hardly going to encourage young people to want to work.

I do hope that by 2029, people will have woken up to what Reform is really about. They do not represent ordinary people. They represent the interests of their paymasters, the fossil fuel, defence contractor and crypto billionaires.

They made such a performance last year about other parties’ election manifestos being lies so their’s was a “contract” with the people. How many people voted for them on the promise of an immediate £20,000 tax personal allowanc? Now they claim is was merely “aspirational”. That’s not what the contract said.

The article I read claimed that young Conservatives were moving to Reform.

Wyllow3 Mon 03-Nov-25 15:02:43

Well, they have just climbed down on their pledge on cutting income and other taxes - on the 1pm R4 news

So much for one of their headline commitments.
