Anyone else impressed by Danny Kruger?

I think he’s wonderful. A breath of fresh air in politics. Has such gravitas. Well spoken and measured MP who left the Tories and has defected to Reform. (Son of Prue Leith).

I see him as a PM in waiting to be honest. Won’t happen of course - but I am very impressed by him.

I’m a subservient, gullible little twerp perhaps? 🤷‍♀️

It seems a strange thing , this adultion of these men. Johnston, Farage, Trump and now this one. They don't seem to regard females as equal and certainly 2 out of the 4 hold objectionable ableist and racist views.

What lies beneath it?

Etoile2701 Thu 30-Oct-25 12:51:49

What does he say about BlueBelle?

How any woman could support that vile creature is way beyond me.

It's attitudes towards women's rights - apparently, we shouldn't have a say in what happens to our own bodies - ''must ask our husbands ... or any male we might live with permission before we even take a wee,'' type of attitude, etc., etc., and its attitude towards the LGBTQ community are both utterly twisted.

I refuse point-blank to have anything to do with it.

Rats and sinking ship are words that come to mind.

According to current figures a running total of 36 Reform councillors have resigned, been expelled or suspended.

Let's see how long Mr Kruger lasts. If Nigel Farage gets a whiff of the rumours that Kruger may instigate a leadership challenge then it'll be The Order of the Boot for him......

Prue Leith - supportive of Dominic Cummings and his trip to Barnard Castle.

It is according to YouGov's latest poll on voting intentions. Gone down to 27% - meaning 73% don't want them.

Meantime Greens have gone from 8% to 17% overall and a big leap to 39% among younger voters.

I've no doubt every trans person will vote Green.
Unfortunately for the Greens, half the population are real women like me, who won't.

What evidence do you have that all women will chose not to vote Green, because you won't butterandjam? That seems a rather arrogant claim.

Leith voted for Brexit, saying she "dithered and dithered for ages because there were really good arguments on both sides"

Many people did the same.

At least Leith and Farage try to fool people by being ‘personable’

Why vilify Prue Leith?
She's a cook!

I meant her son. Wasn’t concentrating.

Oh, ok!

“Leith has been a non-executive director of British Rail; British Transport Hotels; Safeway; Argyll plc, the Leeds Permanent Building Society; Whitbread plc; Woolworths plc; the Halifax; Triven VCT; Omega International plc; and Belmond Hotels Ltd (formerly Orient Express Hotels) and is a director and investor in several start-up companies.” Wikipedia
A bit more than just a cook.

FGT2 you've drawn me back into commenting on N&P when I promised myself I wouldn't smile

I am not impressed by Kruger at all. He is another privileged (now ex-) Tory who thinks he's born to rule - not unlike Boris Johnson, in fact. All self confidence and charm but no ability. I'm also not keen on his evangelical Christian views.

👋 MollyNew glad to have drawn you out! It’s good to debate these things (kindly and civilly of course).

I like Kruger. He has an easy open manner. His religious views don’t interest me as a Humanist. However he is personable, listens to his detractors politely and is intelligent. Good attributes for a politician surely?

How a you, as a humanist, like someone like Trump who is doing such awful things to the people in his country? At least Leith and Farage try to fool people by being ‘personable’ but Trump publicly makes fun of women and disabled people confused.

I would never vote for a turncoat who simply crosses the floor to keep his seat.
All about ME, not the party.

👏👏👏👏👏

Why do you like Trump Fried?
Do you feel sorry for an old man with dementia?
That test he was boasting about in the video from the plane, did you follow what he was describing?

Definitely not loved by me and I can’t stand his mother either. I am amazed that anyone would!

Me neither Etoile, I can't stand either Danny or Prue. Prue comes over very stern ...I know, this isn't about his mum.

Kruger is one of those politicians who presents really well, stand behind a lecturn, knows how to brush his hair and speaks all posh, at first glance he seems very competent.

But he has views that really belong in the dark ages with Atilla the Hun & we really wouldn't want in Downing Street.

He probably suspects he doesn't have much support since he's jumped ship to a more popular party and won't stand down to give his constituents a say on his new party.

Awful man.

Prue was a brexiter who’s now moaning about the drop in food standards and the way farmers have been treated because of it.

Ha ha ha! Serve her right!

Is that meant to be funny?

You realise it affects all of us, not just Ms Leith?

Amaze away.
I've said why I like her.

I had no idea whether she voted Brexit or not, or have any interest in her politics, as I don't read gossip columns, although I realise many must do.

OldFrill Wed 29-Oct-25 17:37:44

Rather naive to say his religious views don't interest you when his religious views influence his political views, and that is why many don't support him.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Wed 29-Oct-25 17:35:15

And yet he speaks highly of you BlueBelle.

BlueBelle Wed 29-Oct-25 17:33:41

Impressed? I am disgusted by him. His views and mine are totally opposite. Today he shared his admiration for the way Trump ‘runs’ the US. We don’t need Danny Kruger.

I like Trump. And Kruger. I make no apology.
