Victims of abuse are usually disturbed and delusional and have no trust in their own thoughts and behaviours or those of others.

I do believe innocent until proven guilty, but there is never going to be a trial and A’s behaviour across many years may prove not to be illegal (although claims are he also slept with V in NY, when she was 17, and the age of consent there at that time was 18), it’s certainly immoral.

No me neither, always seemed like a police matter. But in the real world they are rich and powerful and male, and the victims are not.

So far as I’m aware, British police have never been asked to investigate Andrew. VG was trafficked and that’s the offence as the argument is trafficked people aren’t deemed to give consent.
I’m sure Epstein and Maxwell provided girls for wealthy powerful men in order to have power over them. . I wonder where the video or digital recordings they made are.

I have read her book and find it convincing.
I worked for many years ( in the courts) with sex offenders and their victims. I wrote victim impact reports for the highest criminal court, and I believe I understand why it is so difficult for victims of ongoing sexual abuse to report it or even to leave the situation of the abuse.
Regarding the perpetrators, it is believed in the judicial system that many, if not most, have offended (by sexual assault) against a number of victims before their behaviour comes to light ( precisely because most victims feel unable to report what has been done to them).

If you mean they are proud of her, then rightly so.

Because these people were so powerful and she and the other girls so powerless, she was extremely brave to speak out but feared she would be killed if she named more of these disgusting people.

Guiffries book was the product of a ghost writer who made it as
selacious as possible but didn’t mention names that might have been a threat.
Anyone who thinks Guiffre wrote it herself is very gullible, nothing sells better than a good scandal with a grain of truth. The publisher even involves her family to promote it, no doubt a vested interest there.

Ghost writing is a respectable career. Many Celebrity authors use this form of collaboration, to produce a saleable product.

My DH seems to think that the ghost writer wrote a fictionalised account. The book comes up as non fiction but I don’t know if there’s a true distinction? The ghost writer was not present at the time of the alleged sexual abuse so from that point of view it’s unconfirmed?
