I haven't seen the TV today but yes, that is probable, Elegran.

Storm in a teacup, fuss about nothing, next please!

The glove is perfectly clean. It is a ceremonial parade glove with a button fastening at the wrist and a gap where it fastens which in the photograph looks like a hole or a patch of dirt You can see his hand through the hole.

I also felt sad that heroism in the line of duty wasn’t well represented by the RF today. Prince Edward wasn’t able to complete his training as a Royal Marine Commando ….. the two men who had contributed to the armed forces were of course absent.

Which two?

Wasn't the King there?
He was a Naval Officer.

Sweetly, 18 month old DD got very excited when she saw him in his uniform years ago and shouted Daddy!! 😂
Her Daddy was away at sea.

No it is not a strange thing to pick up ... I have never seen any Royal saluting with a dirty glove ... Look at the BBC coverage again .. he was wearing a dirty Glove ...but of course I understand people have a blinkered view of Royalty and cant accept that they can make a mistake ...

You’re quite right. I saw it and was very surprised.

Not me I have no love for them at all but I do know the king would not have been dressed in anything dirty may have been the light on it

shock

BlueBelle Sun 09-Nov-25 14:25:13

I doubt it
It may have been the light on it or it happened as he touched something while already there, there is no way it would have been how he dressed, everything put on would be immaculate down to the last hair on his head
Very strange post

He may not have known! It could have happened on the way. What a strange thing for you to pick up on!

Hope can the King do a salute and not know he has dirty white gloves on ? ...he has " People " to make sure everything is tip top .. When he raised his right hand in a salute I was shocked ! Dirty gloves ? What happened ?
