Hope can the King do a salute and not know he has dirty white gloves on ? ...he has " People " to make sure everything is tip top .. When he raised his right hand in a salute I was shocked ! Dirty gloves ? What happened ?

Dear oh dear, what a to do about absolutely nothing! .I didn't even notice! Prince William served in the RAF and the Army. He was also attached RN while in the RAF as part of his training. He then joined Air Ambulance as a pilot. The King served in the RN commanding HMS Bronington in 1976. He also served in the RAF, trained As a jet pilot, and qualified as a helicopter pilot in 1974. As for the Tampon affair! I can't believe anyone is bringing that up AGAIN! A private telephone conversation between two adults who were deeply in love was hacked. Whoever did that should be deeply ashamed. It was nobody's business, but of course made for scandal and more importantly money!

I also felt sad that heroism in the line of duty wasn’t well represented by the RF today. Prince Edward wasn’t able to complete his training as a Royal Marine Commando ….. the two men who had contributed to the armed forces were of course absent.

Prince William was there, and he has served, as did the King.

No way would the heir to the throne be allowed to fight in a real war.

I meant on active duty as in the line of fire. Jane43.

How careless of Charles and William not to arrange a war. You just can't rely on them can you.

Have to say, the Duke of Kent, up on one of the balconies with the Duchess of Edinburgh, when he saluted, his glove was pristine, Daz white.

But he hadn’t been handling a wreath.

But any notion of truth, fact and fiction belongs to a distant past. Even then truth was a rare commodity. How do we know either way Anniebach?

He did not say what you claim, this is fact

Mollygo Mon 10-Nov-25 10:35:27

Sarnia

Only GN's can dredge up tampons when the OP has mentioned his gloves!!!

Only some GN’s.

The Independent was incorrect if it did say that, fact

ronib Mon 10-Nov-25 10:24:28

The Independent wrote Tampax? Not tampon!

He left no doubt about his message though Anniebach. Clearly infatuated?

No message and he did not wish to be a tampon , facts

The Tampogate phone call was made in 1989, the first text was sent in 1992.
Oh dear. 😂

Anniebach Mon 10-Nov-25 09:41:25

No text sent by Charles to Camilla ever reported so how can it be quoted?

Mollygo Mon 10-Nov-25 09:37:54

Robin202 it’s disgusting to post details of others emails, whether you’re a journalist or not.
But that’s how you are . . .

Actually misquoted but never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

TheWeirdoAgain60 Mon 10-Nov-25 09:12:36

I've just seen that bit of the YouTube video. I can't stand Charlie, but I don't think he would have knowingly worn a dirty glove for such an occasion, and his dressers would have noticed it.

It looks like light angles to me.
