There are newly released e-mails, which implicate the big beast. Time to watch and wait I think.

Commentators were saying that their guess is that Epstein will not do for Trump, even though he has done some very bad things.

It is the economy that is going to lose him the mid-terms and he will be a lame duck president after.

They also said that Trump seems tired and not with-it. There will be little he can do domestically, so it is thought that he will concentrate on his peace medal and international issues.

He will not serve a third term regardless of the suggestion that he might.

He does not have Republican support to do so.

They then went on to look at JDVance. His winning the presidency is by no means certain.

So beginning to look more optimistic.

They’ve mentioned the name - which I immediately forgot.

He is a democrat and links to Clinton.

Good to see that Trump beginning to lose control of the Republican Party.

The media too. Journalists are starting to push back.

Of course, he told one female reporter to "shut up piggy" when she asked him about the files, yesterday I believe.

Lots of gossip about his health. He keeps losing in courts. His DOJ is under massive scrutiny for the violence against migrants and citizens.

The most important thing right now is that he is starting to look weak. His supporters are all about to be completely without health insurance and SNAP (food assistance benefits) because they are making everyone reapply to "cut down on fraud." Who knows how long these families will have to wait to be processed for benefits again. Meanwhile. People are struggling to feed their children.

What is sad is that this country was prospering finally after Covid.

Yes, Larry Summers was President of Harvard after he left the Federal Bank.

That’s the one, thank you MaizieD 👍

As a result of Biden's economic policy of large scale state investment to promote growth.

This is him. He had a cabinet position in an earlier administration. *Clinton's Treasury Secretary

On that basis I’m not surprised he has stepped down, let’s hope more follow suit.

What does it mean when it lists 'SUPPORT TEAM' as the last Poster?

House is set to vote to release the files. Johnson says he expects the vote to be unanomous to release.

Wonder why they fought the release for 6 weeks and are now on board? hmm

I'll keep watch today.

Is the BBC issue a great big distraction?

I wondered that after I read the emails....;
Watch that space.......

The BBC issue is not a big deal in the US, just another of Trumps tantrums, the real show is the Emails should run for a month

imaround Tue 18-Nov-25 17:45:18

I agree the BBC is not an issue in the US. I hope this is a wake up call to the BBC and they do everything they can to correct course.

Our legacy media in the US is a lost cause at this point.

He pointed at the journalist and said "quiet piggy". What a revolting individual he is. Just when you think he can sink no lower, he proves you wrong.

House just voted 427-1 to release the Epstein files. It heads to the Senate now. If they pass it, Trump has to sign it for them to be released.

Clay Higgins from Louisiana was the lone no vote.

imaround Tue 18-Nov-25 20:58:27

This post from rep Massie shows (allegedly) what tips Johnson has for the Senate to pass this bill.

He is suggesting the bill is amended in the Senate.

Maremia Tue 18-Nov-25 21:16:49

They will fight fight fight to keep themselves safe,

Casdon Tue 18-Nov-25 21:20:13

I read that it’s unclear if opening a new criminal investigation into the Democrats involved would prevent the release of the Justice Department records. Presumably that is one of the key missing links, and if not released, people could hide in plain sight.

imaround Tue 18-Nov-25 21:32:13

Speculation is that they have redacted anything to do with Republicans. But we won't know until we see them. I know it is very suspicious that after months of saying no, they suddenly go all in on releasing them.

I will say, they have bigger problems. A 3 judge panel just told Texas they can't use their Gerrymandered maps for the 2026 midterms. It reverts back to the previously drawn maps, which were apparently drawn to help capture the Hispanic vote. Except Trump is kidnapping Hispanic people off the street and putting them into camps. I'm not sure how well that is going to work for Texas now.

It is definitely going to the Supreme Court. It is unknown how this case would effect the California redistricting as that one was voter approved.

This whole gerrymander thing may backfire on them bigtime.

Senate has "deemed as passed" the bill to release the Epstein files. That means that once the files hits the Senate floor, it will be deemed as passed (unanimous vote) without needing a physical vote. It immediately goes to Trump to sign.

I don't anticipate more this evening, but I will post if there is.

imaround Wed 19-Nov-25 00:41:53

I should note that the vote is veto proof. That means if Trump decides to veto the bill, both the House and Senate can pass it with a vote of at least 2/3 of its members.

While this is exciting, we still are anticipating a lack of information due to redacting, open "investigations" that limit sharing, national security issues and more excuses they come up with to limit the data being shared.

Wyllow3 Wed 19-Nov-25 00:55:44

I hadn't expected Senate to go with it just like that. 👏

Trump couldn't anticipated that? What's his plan?

imaround Wed 19-Nov-25 01:07:09

I think they scrubbed the files.

Nothing can happen until Senate is back in session. Which is Wednesday.

imaround Wed 19-Nov-25 04:53:00

I put the news on tonight while I sewed my SILs jeans.

Here is what I got:

Reporter on Capital Hill says Johnson is not happy that the vote was forced in the House. He is equally not happy the Senate passed it without his suggested amendments.

He seemed to think Trump could sign this tomorrow, though the Senate won't be back in chambers until Wednesday.

MTG and Thomas Massie are rallying the unhappy Republicans against Trump. (That is my opinion based on seeing the rally footage today). We need this to happen. The RINOs and upset MAGA need someone to follow out of this mess, hopefully this will be their chance.

Also to note, we are still waiting on the SC to vote on the tariffs. His team keeps trying to make excuses about how horrible it will be if he has to pay them all back, so the SC should t overturn them.

He is delusional.

And I hope my tax dollars pay to have every single gosh damn piece of gold crap removed from the White House when he goes. They can throw it in his coffin to decorate hell with. It is so tacky.

It’s highly likely that incriminating evidence has been removed, they have had plenty of time, the media will continue the witch-hunt for several weeks, we will see who if anyone falls.

...and my very first thought about that "Quiet piggy" episode was "Would he have done that a man? Or did he feel it was okay to do that because she was a woman?"

But yep...that was another episode that showed him up as "losing it and/or he thinks he's great"....

Sighs - and I've got a friend (here in Britain!) who still worships the ground he walks on and thinks he's the Second Coming in person......oh boy...
