Is the Greens' Natalie Bennett now a Peer?

I remember listening live to the Ferrari interview. It certainly brightened up breakfast time; we weren't sure whether to despair at Bennett's ineptitude or howl with laughter. It was like an episode of Yes, Minister come to life.

Yes, the 'kicking upstairs' (I like that!) to the Lords is very weird.
The 'car crash' interview on LBC is online. I've listened to it again, and wow, it's excruciating. The interviewer (Nick Ferrari) at one point says: 'shouldn't you be more genned up on this?' Natalie B then starts coughing and says: 'I've got a really bad cold'. He waits patiently, saying he's sorry to hear she is unwell, but eventually has to end the interview. If she could only have been honest and apologised for wasting listeners' time by not being well enough informed, then she might have gained some sympathy. Judging by Friday night's 'Any Questions' she seems not to have learned anything in the intervening years, but, strangely, there she is in the House of Lords, able to vote on all our futures!

I didn't hear Any Questions but your account doesn't surprise me. Bennett has always struck me as being like a year 10 schoolgirl pretending to be a grown-up.
I completely failed to understand how the Green party came to make her leader and suspect she did the party more harm than good during her tenure. (Okay, not as much damage as the ineffable Truss did to her party but, even so ...🙄).
As for why she was kicked upstairs to the Lords - an uncharitable part of me wondered what what on earth she knew to blackmail Theresa May with. It's the only credible explanation!

As a former Greens voter, I have serious doubts about Baroness Bennett the former leader of the Greens. On 'Any Questions' on BBC Radio 4 on Friday night, I was troubled by her take on the current BBC situation. vis a vis Panorama's doctoring of Trump's speech. (I'm no Trump supporter but this has made me lose my trust in Panorama which for years I have thought as a source of truth)
Quote from Baroness Bennett on 'Any Questions': 'It was a concerted right wing attack by a right wing competitor (she was referring to the Daily Telegraph) of the BBC'. She went on to say 'This so called dossier was a letter written by a person who was disgruntled. It was a classic tabloid attack'. (Stunned silence from panel and audience)
Alex Forsyth the presenter went on to explain to her that Michael Prescott was a formally appointed external advisor to the BBC. Breaking the silence from both the panel and the audience, another member of the panel went on to explain to her that it was not just a letter, and the Telegraph had provided a link so the reader could click on it and read the whole report.
I must say after Baroness Bennett's astounding 'bad cold- so - she couldn't-carry on with the fluffed interview' on LBC, I really do worry about how she will vote on important issues from the Lords.

According to Wikipedia, it was a reward given in Theresa May's resignation honours list - for Bennett's contribution to public life and politics. 🙄

On this morning's Radio 4 Today programme 'Baroness Natalie Bennett' was mentioned. Is this the same Natalie Bennett who took over leadership of the Green Party and had that embarassing radio interview where she couldn't give the interviewer financial information about the Greens' plans for council housing, and she suddenly developed a 'bad cold/cough' so the interview had to be stopped?
Does anyone remember this? Is this the same person?
