Yet, apparently if a GE was held tomorrow, Farage would be moving into Number 10 pdq. It’s the trump scenario all over again. Both men should have fallen at the first hurdle and allowed nowhere near such responsibility.

Agree with most of these posts he is a criminal yet to be proved we did all warn of him in Brexit His funds and personal tax evasion need fully examining
I take exception to one post however Wyllow

Farage comes across as a bitter, unhappy young man
YOUNG !! He’s a nasty, lying, corrupt, far right, racist, misogynist old man

Time to have a deep forensic examination of who is actually funding, and hence controlling, the Reform Party.

Ten years, so not a 'trivial' offence.

Clinging not cloning but rather a neat mistake anyway!

Wyllow3 Sat 22-Nov-25 09:25:58

Farages personal earnings need to be publicised more anyway. those cloning to the belief he really can "turn back the boats, I'll vote for him", need to know the sheer personal self serving greed of this man

We talked about Farage’s politics and racism on the numerous Brexit threads in 2016, but of course it was pooh-poohed by those intending to vote leave.

I think that there is little question that the referendum was nobbled - in fact it was deemed illegitimate by constitutional lawyers.

Farage’s links with Russia have no doubt been subject to security investigations and these should now be opened to the voter. I suspect that the issue would be that it would call Brexit into severe doubt.

The time is right for an investigation and review into the whole Brexit debacle.

I am still waiting for a single benefit- and please don't blame Covid or the war in Ukraine for the cost of living crisis. Before the vote people were willingly admitting they didn't mind if the economy was hit...it was madness.

Farage comes across as a bitter, unhappy young man, having to hit out at the vulnerable in the nastiest of ways possible - gas chambers, fgs.

Leopards don't change their spots, however well concealed in later life.

Its a "yes" to an investigation of links with Russia in UKIP times.

I would suggest very strongly that an investigation should be launched into Russian interference in the Brexit campaign and vote. This was floated at the time but I thought was just another case of angry remainers - a bit like myself back then - trying to vent their spleen. Now with this latest news about Gill I have serious misgivings about Russian allegiances during the referendum.
I can understand supporters of Farage thinking this is all just to have a go at their hero but a man is facing jail time, and Farage would keep the company of all manner of rogues if he thought it would further advance his career.
As for his antisemitic behaviour, is par for the course that far right nationalists are not just going to be racist against Muslims, that us just their latest target, they will also in the majority of cases by antisemitic. As Yaxley Lennon and his thugs are despite going over to Israel recently and courting the far right over there. I suppose that is a case of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’.

"The former leader of Reform UK in Wales has been sentenced to 10-and-a-half years in prison after admitting taking bribes for pro-Russia interviews and speeches.
Nathan Gill, 52, from Llangefni, Anglesey, is thought to have received up to £40,000 to help pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine.
He was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) when he accepted money from Oleg Voloshyn, 44, a man once described by the US government as a "pawn" of Russian secret services"

And I recall Farage et al collecting their generous wages as MEP's, doing nothing at all for our country, that moment when they, like petualnt small children, turned their backs on the EU parliament

Be very aware, we are all are defined by the company you keep, Farage. Many politicians accept gifts we ar not happy with, and som pilloried for pairs of glasses, but you, Farage, kept company with a Russian spy.

Farage is facing calls to investigate and root out links between Reform UK and Russia after one of his party’s former senior politicians was jailed for 10 years for accepting bribes from a pro-Kremlin agent.

Not a good week for Farage: he faces fresh claims of racism and antisemitism at school

"It is the hectoring tone, the “jeering quality”, in Nigel Farage’s voice today that brings it all back for Peter Ettedgui.

He would sidle up to me and growl: ‘Hitler was right,’ or ‘Gas them,’ sometimes adding a long hiss to simulate the sound of the gas showers,” Ettedgui says of his experience of being in a class with Farage at Dulwich college in south London

"My grandparents had escaped from Nazi Germany, and had always talked with deep gratitude about how they felt welcome in the UK,” he says.

*I’d never experienced antisemitism growing up, so the first time that this vicious verbal abuse came out of Farage’s mouth was deeply shocking.

But I wasn’t his only target.

I’d hear him calling other students ‘Paki’ or ‘Wog’, and urging them to ‘go home’.

I tried to ignore him, but it was humiliating. It was shaming. This kind of abuse cuts through to the core of your identity*
