It's about feeling sorry for an estranged parent, who was given no help with how to deal with the paparazzi. Meghan and Harry, both used to the limelight themselves, say they found it difficult so how much worse was it for Mr Markle who had no clue how to deal with it all.

But is it news? Do we need to know?
It is only being broadcast as news dso people can pile in with negative views. What other justification can there be for reporting this? It is a private family matter.

I think you’re right, but she isn’t you, or any of us, so may not be consumed by any regrets at all.
