Mass shooting by suspected Islamist extremists at Bondi Beach

This is truly shocking, my heart goes out to all affected.

Just been watching this on TV. Truly shocking.

It is just horrendous.
I don't want to be one of those who try to look for the good in this, I am endlessly tired of the platitudes that follow these events, but it does look there were some incredible acts of bravery.

Yes, of course.

I read that one brave bystander managed to wrestle the rifle from one of the gunmen.

I guess it’s impossible to rule out criminals getting hold of guns even when countries tighten up gun laws.

It’s what I heard on my local radio Magenta8 plus those killed were Jewish at a Hanukkah celebration.The two men wore all black clothing.

The gun laws in Australia were tightened up after the dreadful Port Arthur massacre too.

Horrendous news. what should have been a lovely, peaceful celebration has been turned into an awful tragedy.

Please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding was that there is no established link with Islamic, antisemitic terrorism so far. Of course that does not rule it out at this stage.

It was only last year that 16 people were stabbed six of whom died, at Bondi Westfield Shopping Centre and now this.
