When she was on Desert Island Discs Roy Plomley asked for her next choice. She said in her fabulous French accent "A penis".

No, no, spluttered Roy....we'll come to your luxury item later. "No, 'appiness, by Ken Dodd!" explained Brigitte.

She said there were too many mosques in France. Not compatible with the French way of life. Got fined for saying so, several times.

Unfortunately Bardot was convicted in 1997, 1998 and 2000 for inciting racial hatred. She was criticised in later years for homophobic slurs.
But she was a world leader in championing animal protection.

After seeing dancing bears in Bulgaria we visited the Belitsa rescue centre which is jointly run by Bridget’s charity and the four paws charity.

She was utterly gorgeous and French with it adding an extra layer of style back in the day. I used to love her hair and eyeliner.

An amazingly beautiful style icon. A one off, she wore the original "just got out of bed hair effortlessly" France will mourn one of their greatest stars.

I missed hearing that she had died. She was beautiful and did a lot of work with rescue animals.
