A lone woman in a car who is a US citizen approached by several armed ICE officers. One tells her to get out of the car, one to drive away, one to move out of the way. Woman complies with one- by default not able to comply at the same time with the other 2 different orders- they are mutually exclusive.

Ronib- In the face of those 3 mutually exclusive ICE directions how can it be said she "refused to comply with an order by an armed operative" thereby didn't keep herself safe from being shot?

Officers need to know that only one officer should issue very clear instructions, and that shooting somebody in the face is a final resort, not an immediate trigger happy reaction to unclear instructions. It cuts both ways.

Oh yes, I see Cossy. My apologies for attributing to you the comparison of Edith Cavell to the type of protest here.

I would wish that this false claim had not been repeated but I can see it was part of a whole that you reposted.

Perhaps the original poster would return and retract the false comparison she has made. Although Edith is long dead I believe it is important that her integrity of character should be maintained and not used in this way.

She should have had the sense to get out of the car when told to do so.

As we were not actually there and are relying on both second or even third hand reports and somewhat dubious videos, we do not actually know the true facts.

I’ve so heard/seen,

She was told to move her car
She was told to get out of her car
She was told to drive away
Her wife insulted and taunted ICE officers
She tried to run over ICE officers
The ICE officer had previously been injured by a driving car
The ICE officer was injured
The ICE officer was not injured

Frankly, the only thing I truly believe is that this woman should not have been shot and killed.

She was told to leave.
That was a basic instruction.
She was following it.
She was shot dead.

Well it might seem that way ronib, if only it was that simple. I watched the video and one ICE officer was shouting for her to move on several times then another shouted for her to get out of the car. Conflicting instructions that caused her to move forwards in order to ‘move on’ then she was shot.
If you watch the vid you will see what I mean.

She was following the rules.
She was told to leave.
She started to leave.
She was shot dead.
