That’s true Galaxy but you know what forums are like, it’s trotted out as regularly as a drinking game.

We are all open to challenge - (apart from the US President and his cronies, who can only resort to insult rather than logic and morally defensible explanation!)

To be fair there are zero parallels with most comparisons to Nazi Germany.

It’s not “lecturing” - it’s about thinking and trying to understand.

ICE are not being compared to the Holocaust - that is an entirely separate issue and false equivalence.

When any right wing government comes up with policies that aren’t universally liked forum members can’t wait to post their 1930 Nazi comparisons.
There are no same comparisons, none whatsoever to the Holocaust ( but they never seem to get this fact.)

The American public don’t need to stay silent they can protest lawfully as much as they want or as little as they want.
Many there are happy that illegal immigrants are being questioned and deported, and those who disagree can speak out freely as long as they don’t interfere.State Government can also speak out.

Thank you / but I’m fairly well read on history, including US history.
The US white settlers were illegal settlers. Because something wasn’t written down in US Statutes doesn’t mean there was no law! US Law was made for the US! The Native Nations of North America had customary laws and sovereignty over their lands. The white settlers ignored that and laid claim to the land. They were trespassers and unwelcome as they trampled on Native culture and sensitivities. You still hear echoes of Manifest Destiny out off the mouths of some right wing Americans to this day.

I agree that all the evidence is not in as yet.
