Is it your case that Ofcom is handed the power to scan encrypted chats under the online safety act or more the case you take the word of Reclaim the Net?

I ask because I understand your post is not factually correct, i.e. Ofcom won't have powers to directly scan messages but rather gives Ofcom powers to compel tech companies to scan encrypted chats for illegal content, particularly Child Exploitation and Abuse material.

That is my understanding.

Think about it,police are lifting pensioners off the streets for supporting Palestine!
Thankfully some Scottish police have resigned because of this absurdity.Its an English law and should not have been forced on them.
