There is always hope 🌻

Too many warmongers in the world so good to see people who are promoting peace.

How inspiring, what a wonderful thing to do. They're going at a fair pace as well. The world needs people like this.

I discovered this on social media. MSM should be showing it. I've yet to see any coverage on any TV programme.

Cox's bazaar in Bangladesh is the site of the largest refugee camp on Earth.

Sadly you are correct keepingquiet, this march though commendable, is perhaps a tad selective?!

Mmm. Very laudable I'm sure but I'm also unsure who it will truly help or what 'peace and understanding' it will actually generate.

Maybe helping at a soup kitchen for the homeless, or similar, might be more fruitful?

I understand your feelings Barbadosbelle but I also think that we need people like these monks to show their faith and love of peace openly in this way.

If I hadn’t read about this feat on GN I wouldn’t know about it (along with the millions of others who don’t read GN) what a shame that something so amazing could almost go under the radar. Thank you for this post.

Someone I know went on a pilgrimage last year; he walked over 1,200 miles. He was raising money for charity, carried no money and relied on the generosity of strangers.

I find it very moving. Some of them are walking barefoot - or with bandages on now. The people who go out to see them seem to find them inspirational, and it's heartwarming to see.

Barbardisbelle do you know they don’t work at dispensing food to the poor I know every country, every culture, every religion has it down side but on the whole both Buddhist and Sikhs too are very gentle kind and hospitable people

You do what you can, where you are.
These monks are in the USA, so that's where they are walking.

They are walking from Texas to the White House so their arrival there will be the highlight of the walk. That is what the media will cover. There are loads of videos on You Tube.
