Oh my, Mr Trump must be very displeased with His Holiness. This is, as ever, a clear indication that he is doing the right thing.
I await some deeply unpleasant response on the amusingly named " Truth Social".

I read in The Guardian finance section that Mister Trump has a very large wodge of oil shares..........and the war with Iran has sent oil shares through the roof.

Not that anyone would be greedy and reckless enough to start an out-of-control war just to top up their bank balance.

As most have said, this wasn't the "State of the Union", more the need for the Great Orange Baboon to try and massage his falling number of MAGA nitwits to still vote Chump in the upcoming midterm elections.

I didn't see much of it, but heard a later summary. It was packed full of assorted lies, nonsensical twaddle about what he's achieved, and I think claimed the Epstein Files had "exonerated" him. That particular claim is one that even his fans are having increasing difficulty in believing, and by many accounts, will sink him (we can only hope). Whether either party there actually has someone of real competence to try and correct his two terms of Loony-Toons is another matter?!

The reason they did not stand for anything Trump said is because it is a deflection of the truth they cannot and should not support. What Trump did in His SOTU speech was grandstand and presented medals to everyone that he gathered into his web. These people were innocents but Trump needed a backdrop of celebration to make him look like a good guy! Don’t let that fool you! He had a group of Epstein victims sitting in the audience and of course he had nothing to say about that matter. You know he lied when he said the price of gas, food, insurances, homes were affordable. You all have no idea what it is like to live here and listen to his lies. Sad that he removed medical insurance grants from those on Obamacare. You have no idea how expensive insurance and medical care here in the United States is! Obamacare was a lifesaver for larger families and people just getting started in their careers or businesses that did not have employer related insurance..of which we still pay for. Now, their insurances can cost them more than a $1,000 a month for basic care with very high deductibles and co-payments. Again, if you don’t live here, you have no idea what that burden is to us citizens. I have three levels of expensive insurance coverage and still pay out of pocket for prescriptions. For example, I am forced to buy prescriptions from out of the country because the cost for one 3 ml eye drop here costs $1,100. Per month. Like I said, you have no idea. Our taxes are high, our insurances are extremely high and our cost of living is high. Keep in mind that Trump is surrounding himself by his billionaire friends that don’t care about the regular citizen. Many have never needed to go to a supermarket or buy gas..they have people to do that for them. His tax cuts are specifically aimed to help his rich friends. What he does as an appeasement is say he is going to give everyone a check…hahahaha. All that does is pacify the situation because some people are grateful for any refund they get since they don’t get anything else from the government. For those of you who believe Trump is doing good for this Country, keep in mind that he took billions of dollars in future investments from the Saudi Arabians, compromising our national security. He accepted a jet plane from them as well knowing that it was another bribe gift that the American taxpayers will pay to repair it for their eventual personal use. America has so much money being paid to the government by means of taxes that they are able to spend in such a way that would blow your mind if you could see how Trump spends on trying to impress his friends. After coming home from Saudi Arabia and meeting with their rulers, he saw their palaces adorned in gold and marble and then decided to change the White House and Oval Office to look like the palaces and added gold moldings all over and add a gold, marble ballroom that nobody needed. Remember, this is taxpayer dollars he is frivolously spending to feel like an equal to the Saudi Arabian princes and kings. He is a joke. He is an insecure bully that,as I said before, surrounds himself with a group of sycophants knowing they all have a need to bow to him because if not, he will fire them and destroy their careers. What a guy! Even the Pope wants nothing to do with him. Oh, if you think he is a religious man….another laugh. He does not follow a religion and does not go to church and never behaves in a manner of an Christian. He only needed the Christian Nationalist's money and votes. Getting him out of office is the only thing that can save America from the embarrassment we are now suffering. Note: it is not the party I have an issue with. If the president were a law abiding, moral, ethical person, that would not matter and you would not be seeing the resistance you can see. He is none of the above and those he surrounds himself with are either. They need to reconcile that until they put a decent candidate in office, this will be an ongoing pushback by the democrats.

I'm sorry to say I try to avoid anything that comes out of that man's mouth.

You can see right wing views from members who profess to be Christians on this site. I hear right wing views from one of my closest Christian friends. Fortunately I know her so well I’m able to put her straight 😉

I am an American and while I will watch the SOTU show, I will also do so to reinforce my belief that the man, who does not represent me, is as crazy as a loon. He desperately wants to be on a stage with people applauding him. He has nothing to offer on any stage. Any intelligent person would see through his blubbering process..he tries to make you laugh with him, he then attacks those that don’t. He watches his cabinet lackeys to make sure they are clapping and nodding their heads in agreement. They he targets those who do not. He has no problem attacking people because he knows there are co consequences to his actions. I watched as Marco Rubio sat there with no smile. He was out of his element. I want to believe that inside that person lies an honest man that is in it to further his career but knows he is aligning himself with what he considers a group of liars and sycophants. Time will tell when and if he decides to follow the truth. In the background sit JD Vance and Mike Johnson. If you look at them both you will see the kind of people that are hangers on. Both sit with this childish look on their faces. They are in with the game because they need to further their political careers. Who the hell else would hire them? The cabinet is a group of misplaced goons that either come from TV or Trump plucked out of their prior jobs because he knew they would do exactly as he wanted. They are role players and very slimy. Bondi is like a Mean Girl and she is silly and afraid to answer a question truthfully. It will come back to haunt her. I believe there is a petition to impeach her already. She is an embarrassment to the law profession. Cash Patel is a game player. He is like a little kid trying to play with the big boys but he still doesn’t fit in. His buddy, Dan Bongino, got out without too much to say about why. I think he realized he also was in over his head and knew he had to get out to just save face. He is a podcaster….that is who Bongino and Patel were before taking over the FBI. So, Trump chooses people that are very under qualified because he knows that giving them a cabinet position is something no one else with intelligence and seriousness would do. By the way, Trump has this obsession of identifying his people as “highly intelligent”. Keep in mind that they could not be so intelligent to want to align themselves with a doddering dope that will not have a good outcome for themselves. It is a good thing that they have lots of money because they will not be hire-able in the future other than in the sane political arena they currently playing in. So, in summary, many of us Americans are embarrassed, concerned, fearful of what damage this man, Trump will do to our Country and on behalf of us, we apologize that you even have to know how many of his followers thought he would be the one to follow. In addition, the man has been and is currently, a criminal. His association with Epstein and Maxwell provided him with access to young girls and that is his style. It is not new information. He was like this way before he entertained running for office. Many people were unaware or chose not to care about his reputation. I deeply wonder how his Christian Nationalist supporters can justify his behavior while supporting him. It is all mind boggling and a true nightmare for most of us normal, intelligent Americans.

Trump is like one of the Emperors in the end parts of the Roman Empire. As the Empire slowly crumbles, the rhetoric becomes more and more grandiose, indeed, idiotical.

We will conquer X,Y,Z. We will become the Greatest Ever. Whilst slowly, social and medical and other support systems collapse, the richer get richer, and prices in the shops go up.

I can barely stand to watch him utter even one sentence, I just couldn't cope with a couple of hours. The way he tilts his head, his repeating everything over and over again and his very weird mouth, Ugh!! How anybody could find him entertaining I just don't understand.
