It is very muddy. The govt walking a fine line in dealing with an unstable, unpredictable, war mongering Potus. Our countries have been allies.

That isn’t the reason though ronib. We wouldn’t join on Trump’s terms in these circumstances even we had many more resources.

This war has absolutely nothing to do with improving the lives of ordinary Iranians or protecting the US. It has everything to do with clearing the Middle East of those that the Israeli government see as a threat to their security. I am very concerned that Iranian and Lebanese citizens will be seen as justifiable collateral, just like the Gazans. I sincerely hope that I am wrong but nothing that I have seen or heard so far from the Israeli and US spokespeople give me confidence that this will not be the case. Below is the Headline in today's Washington Post.

On Channel 4 news last night it was said that Iranian and Iraqi Kurds could help US over turn the regime. Echoes of the Iraq war and the war in Syria here, neither of which ended well. Also the regime periodically kills Iranian Kurds and will no doubt massacre them now, as well as any Iraqi Kurds. And the majority of Iranians would never power share with Kurds anyway so a civil war could ensue.
As ever Kurds are used like pawns by the US, which promptly dropped them like hot potatoes after they helped fight ISIS.

How about the unstable, unpredictable and war mongering regime in Iran?
Our countries are still allies ( UK and US) not ‘have been’.

If it's being used for defensive purposes rather than offensive it is perfectly acceptable and sensible. There is a huge difference between using military resources to intercept aggressive attacks and using military forces to launch aggressive attacks. Surely you want our bases and military protected?

All the Gulf states didn't want a war but Iran attacked them regardless, being neutral hasn't helped them. The main issue is who will stop first, if Iran negotiates it could be over soon, if Iran is defiant how long will the US keep a blockade going.

America and Israel are illegally carpet bombing a city of over ten million people and our government is providing ‘defensive’ support.

These are war crimes and, once again, we are on the wrong side of history.

We must learn the lessons of the past — and stop our Prime Minister from dragging Britain into another catastrophic, illegal war.

Something had to be done. Shipping in the Red Sea has been targeted by terrorists, funded by Iran (so we are told). This affects everyone, not just Israel.
Starmer/ Blair might now find out how foolish it was to allow migrants from all cultures to settle in Britain. They were so set on turning our country multi-racial that they didn't consider the consequences. How many 'sleepers' have been welcomed in and allowed to roam our streets gathering information to send back to their leaders?

If our sons, daughters, husbands and wives mums and dads are being exposed to danger, death and maiming then at the very least our political representatives should debate the subject and come to a collective conclusion.

I havent thought for a while that Startmer in particular, has the best interests of the Uk at heart.
The longer he is in power, the more I think that.

I dont know whether he appeases some Countries, tries to deal with them in financial terms. Or worse.
