Israel and US hit Iran

Do you think Trump would take advice from anyone?

We will all get dragged into this. Not good. Just hope the Americans don’t drop their third nuclear bomb.

Well it is an illegal war, so none of us should go anywhere near it.

* without outside help

I do worry about the impunity with which Trump behaves, if he does this in Iran OK many living there want to see change and can’t see it happening perhaps with outside help, but where will be next on his list?

I see Israel is doing what Israel does.

Just hit a girls elementary school in Iran - many dead.

How is Gaza doing?

How can they live with themselves?

Wars in the Middle East never end well, do they?

Congress weren’t approached over this war because it’s illegal. As we all know, trump just goes on his merry way. He needs locking up but who is going to do it?

Just imagine, a felon, failed business man, proven liar, racist etc., etc.,in one nasty package in the White House!

The rhetoric and reasons for the attack is exactly the same as the Iraq attacks. Weapons of mass destruction, regime change, poor Iraqi’s Iranians etc, etc.

That ended well didn’t it?

Exactly. The west has a poor history in these situations.

Much more fitting title

Maimed.

Led by Donkeys is asking,
'How is the Board of Peace doing?'

Trump has renamed it Bored of Peace.

The west always fails when it tries to create regime change in these areas, not because that change is not a laudable aim, but because we do not truly understand the history and culture that generate these appalling regimes nor factor in the need for thinking long term about what comes next and how this might be achieved.
I fear that this intervention will be the same and that lives will be lost and people mailed with no positive long term gain.

"Starmer Chairs COBRA Meeting" so says the BBC.

A timely distraction from the Greens trouncing Labour?

I feel it is overcynical and inappropriate to say such things. I am sure Starmer's meeting has a very serious purpose which he will approach with the integrity of the statesman that he is.

What dreadful times we are living through. So much war and hatred. I despair.

Oh really, come on! This absolutely has to be discussed at COBRA level!

The UK has at least one squadron of Typhoons in the gulf to defend UAE ? from missiles strikes.

Goodness mae, what an extraordinary perspective on COBRA meeting.
Perhaps a war starting might be worth discussing?

'Shelter in place' as airspace is closed.

This time, Iran has not delayed its fight back.
Perhaps the rulers, like the folk on the street, feel they have nothing to lose.

Don't think Congress was consulted.

No because this war is illegal so they would not have agreed.
Trump just does what he likes and causes chaos.

Seems to have escalated to other countries now.
